    You're welcome Daz. like I say, get a decent camera and load a good photo/editing programme on your PC. It's always difficult to judge what's in a dog just by looking at it imo.     Same damage and disease as pigeons!... A flock of say one hundred pigeons/doves will eat about 25lb of grain/crop per day,....dunno how much stinking guano that produces. I like to see pigeons and doves, but in sensible numbers. There are some flats that I look after and I had to hire a cherry picker to clean out the gutters and ridges, full of stinking shit, when it rains the gutters overflow and the shit goes everywhere.

    Always wanted to try this... ...Read about it in some book years ago!....Make a small paper cone, put some bait in the bottom and smear 'tacky stuff' around the inside. Then go to where you know the pheasants feed, dib a small hole to put the cone in and wait for the pheasant to take the bait. If it works the bird will stick its head in the cone for the grub and the cone will get stuck on its head...When the bird is running around blind chase and catch...simple! ...Let me know if it works ..Can't remember the book, someone else must have read it also!

    Contact your local greyhound track and they should be able to give you a contact for someone who transports dogs. Or get on the ferry and meet the dog/pup at the other side perhaps.

    Had a setter years back with a similar eye problem that wouldn't clear up. Vet' even checked the tear ducts were clear by dropping green dye into her eyes, the dye came out the nose . If the advise given here doesn't work ask your local chemist, cheaper than the vet' by far..
