  1. In your situation I would chop the rabbit into smaller pieces to suit your freezer, lots of tiny bones in a minced rabbit...OK for the dogs but a small harmless bone fragment to a dog would be a large splinter to a ferret.
  2. Check her teeth and have a good look down her throat if you can, she may have a bone splinter lodged in her throat or at the back of the mouth.
  3. If there is a glut of ferrets on/in the local market then it would probably be the best route to take. Never had to cull kits myself, always had people come from far and wide for my stock
  4. Come on gurlies you're starting to sound like them 'ferret huggers' on the rescue forums.. . Ferretingkid, if you're happy with the way she worked last season and can place some kits then go ahead and have a litter. If you are not sure how committed your mates are about having your kits take a small deposit from them. Remember ferrets are best kept in the company of other ferrets, a life in solitary is really miserable for most ferrets and they can pine away. If you think you can't get rid of all the kits to proper homes then cull in the first couple of days. Good luck
  5. Ask your local butcher for his chicken carcasses
  6. Lovely looking pup, and looks healthy in the picture .Hope you have many years of fun together!
  7. As mentioned lurchers love jumping for fun,...also when working deep cover!,,,Here Meg' is about eighteen months old and jumping well
  8. Clean the connections gently with some fine wet 'n dry...assuming your batteries are OK!
  9. You can't bring two pups on together imo! The one that fecks off, call it then hide...let it panic trying to find you. All your shouting does when it fecks off is to tell it where you are so it does not need to worry. Remember you are the pack leader not your pup!
  10. Any chance in having that in English you fecking muppet?
  11. Patience Grasshopper!......Let the wee tyke grow and get some strength in his bones For low jumps/hops like a foot try putting him in a large basket or box and he'll soon learn. Personally I wouldn't bother, it will come to him when he's ready.
  12. Your pictures may be too large to upload, resize or try photobucket Try this link... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/d...eschelman2.mspx
  13. Ferrets are naturally inquisitive and often respond to strange noises/goings on. Occasionally when digging for a rabbit the ferret will pop up at a nearby hole to see what the noise is about and then disappear back down to carry on worrying the rabbit.
  14. Well said Stubby!...I've just discovered this fecking ridiculous topic and I can't believe what I'm reading ... A muzzle would not stop the ferret staying down and worrying the rabbit so you would possibly still have to dig if you were impatient. Maybe I'm over suspicious but!...When a new member comes on and asks strange or provocative questions I wonder if there's a hidden agender,...if you get my drift!
  15. For the metal I'd use 'metal guard' or 'hammerite'..As for the plastic, a good oil based undercoat and a top coat will do the trick . Visit your local Decorator centre, not those fecking muppets at DIY..
  16. Er,...you have two pups from picks of litters that you want rid of!....Are you a dog dealer? No offence meant in my question so please don't have a pop at me, maybe I read your post wrong
  17. Second pic', nice looking dog!...(wish people wouldn't quote posts with pictures ) What cross is he 'lass?
  18. Probably too late to do anything with it. Usually caused by knocking the toe, the lump will be a callous most likely. Old dog of mine had one, very rarely caused her any trouble. Vet' will probably give a shot of AB's and anti-inflammatory pills for a week,....oh, and a bill for forty quid!..Good luck
  19. ...Imo it's feck all to do with dominance, but then I could be wrong ...It's more like hormones having a rush round.
  20. THE THREE LITTLE PIGS This is a true story, proving how fascinating the mind of a six year old is. They think so logically. A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She came to the part of the story where first pig was trying to gather the building materials for his home. She read ... 'and so the pig went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said: 'Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that straw to build my house?' The teacher paused then asked the class: 'And what do you think the man said?' One little boy ra

  23. Camera's sure have come a long way in a short time!...Reading the spec',..it's amazing what them little slanty eyed feckers have come up with ...When I were a lad ...I took a Kodak Box Brownie on the school trip now we have camera's/video recorder/voice recorder in our mobile phones that are probably far more advanced than a PC.....Reminds me of a TV advert, "One day Thomas man shall land on the moon!"....
