  1. Quicker still if you pinch the skin over the saddle, cut with sharp knife and then pull apart...
  2. Why line your bitch just to give the pups away and not keep one back for yourself?...There must be plenty of good lurchers/pups around you that would suit your mates with out you and your bitch taking the risk...
  3. Hello Para, no you haven't upset me and yes I took that pic' yonks back ('bout a day after she was visited by the jaffa) to give some advise to a similar question as on this thread. And yes I've seen and know what a ferret in full readiness is like. By the way, even if you've paid to be on this site you don't have to be a gobshite and SHOUT just because someone put one of my pictures up of a jill coming off heat. Imo and their's it gave a good idea to the person who asked the original question what a jill on heat looks like. Please don't bite back at this reply, it was in no way meant to offen
  4. Lean mean and fit dogs like greyhound’s whippet’s and of course saluki’s have more stamina than heavy built dogs imo. A deep chested dog with good lungs and heart will outlast and outpace a heavy dog, same with human athletes and horses. I haven’t been watching the London Marathon today but I would lay money on a slim athletic person winning and beating the likes of Mike Tyson …mind you if Tyson was chasing me I would get a fecking move on …Same with horses or they would have put Redrum over a carthorse… ..And of course all you hare coursing guys prefer longdogs and pure bred
  5. If my dog showed those symptoms I'd have her looked at by a good greyhound vet, may have pulled a muscle or worse.
  6. why dose everyone keep showing that jill as being ready to mate.SHE HAS BEEN MATED AND IS ON HER WAY OUT OF SEASON. Because it's the nearest image/picture he's going to see of a ferret in season that's why numb nuts! If you've a better picture that can help ferreter understand then let's see it OK. Meanwhile stop fecking SHOUTING!!
  7. Good luck in finding a suitable stud at such very short notice
  8. Whole streets and communities get moved on forcibly just so that the government/developers can build a new concrete jungle or a housing estate that the locals can never afford to buy…Why should the badger get preferential treatment?...Re-home them and send the bill to the developers!...As for the fecking newts!....Get the local school kiddies out to catch them all up and stick them in a jar while the ditch gets cleaned/dredged, the kids will learn something as well.. ....Rant over...
  9. I bet a few of the guys will want one for their wife!
  10. Andy, try next season by supplying a local butcher with rabbits at a fair price and ask for his scraps then.
  11. String! Learn to untangle your nets ....There's a few guys on here that make nets.
  12. Didn't think they made troopers that size! I can never get gear to fit me either ,...seems they're bigger than you and smaller than me... And no I aint a fat b*****d
  13. Ron Hines DVM PhD 4/24/06 The dynamics of anemia in ferrets is the same as anemia in all warm-blooded animals as well as people. Blood is composed of a liquid portion, the plasma, and a cellular portion. The cellular portion is composed of red blood cells or erythrocytes, which carry oxygen throughout the body, platelets that allow the blood to clot and white blood cells, which fight disease. Anemia is the presence of too few red blood cells. Most cases of anemia are the result of some other disease at work within the body. There are two classifications of anemia. In the first, the ferre
  14. I'm obviousley missing something HH... ...I was not picking anyone up, I just made a statement with reference to your comment "a beleive your question to be a myth" that was directed at lurchermick's question, "do you need to breed them or is it just a myth that she will die if not"....Answere to that question put more simply.....Possibly yes!
  15. Hmm, yea sure. Bring it in they'll say ...That'll be twenty quid plus some tablets that she probably doesn't need. I'm one of the first to say get the beast to the vet but, as it's a jill and time of year I would think it's down to hormones. Some ferrets go fecking bald all over. Keep an eye on your jill Taz', if she stays healthy it could be as I suggested..
  16. HH,...If the jill is not brought out of season she could get aplastic anemia and as a result she could possible become ill and die. Old School and Mush,..... Notts,....That is a normal sized jill, well it is to me anyway, I have seen larger jills. By the way, the swelling is going down in that picture, she was larger
  17. Well done John ...Now get youself a decent photoshop programme for your PC..
  18. Tanks Bill,....The code there was the same as DVD Hacks. Tried it again and got it to work, you have to press the buttons pretty quick to get the code accepted I also learnt that the dvd player does not retain the code if you unplug the machine.
  19. Try wearing a pair of safety spec's and put a small paper dot, like you get from a hole punch, in the centre of the lens (dominant eye). That way you keep both eyes open and it gives the weaker eye a chance . I have heard this method works .So please don't anyone have a pop at me for a daft suggestion
  20. Thanks but I tried that one ...That was what I found with DVD Hacks. Maybe I should buy a new all regions player.
  21. I've tried DVD Hacks for the code but I still can't play an American DVD. I have an LG 3200E...Does any one have a link or code that will sort my machine please? And NO it aint a porn movie...
  22. Good point there Ditch, may have had a rough and tumble especially this time of year. Check for any external wounds, only needs a small puncture to push some hair or foreign body into the wound. Absess's are/can be a bugger to clear up and ferrets are prone to them. must be all the scraps they get into whilst in a stinking filthy rabbit/rat hole.
  23. Storage space!....Rabbiteer only has a small freezer, but I think he just likes mincing..
  24. Like I said, check for the cause. Ferrets are prone to absess's, sometimes from tooth problems etc.
