Eighteen's a lot for a longnet Will, I used to do a lucky thirteen which is more than enough in my opinion. If you're making a 50 yard longnet you'll need another 800ish rows.. If it's purse nets you're doing it's up to you on the length you want, four footers are a nice size imo so you will need twenty ish..

And imo it is better to use your finger to hold the knot from behind not your thumb infront!

Lamb castration rings degrade very quickly, for obvious reasons!...Clove hitch on grommets is the best method imo unless you use the traditional method.

It doesn't end with the camera richie!.....You need a decent lens also and that can be as much if not more than your budget. -
