  3. Young love eh!....Aint it great ....Don't get too pissed tonight gurlie cos' you won't be able to control your young stud. Happy Birthday!
  4. I've only had one bird go nasty on me stig, pheasant that is! ...I think it must have been around from the previous year so get eating.. ...I did ask my local butcher how long game birds would last in the freezer, I think he said about three months. But, like I said I've only had one go bad on me.
  5. The only time you will get a bitter pheasant is if it's been in the freezer too long, the fat can go rancid and spoil the meat. Generaly speaking pheasant is a very tastie meat with a mild game taste. Don't hang it too long..
  6. Maybe the mother is a bunny hugger and doesn't want you to catch them!
  7. Best to seperate them for the summer Tony.
  8. Sounds like you've found an old ferret. It's not unusual to see elderly ferrets with manky teeth, just make sure the gums are not inflamed/swollen or loose and that she's eating OK.
  9. Never heard of summer ferreting! ....Pest control is 365 days a year and great sport for the dog..
  10. Yes of course!....Assuming the poodle is a standard poodle
  11. Barbour do two sizes of gaiters, try the large size.
  12. When you get to know your dog's mood swings you will know a week or two before, bit like the wife/gurlie friend... Your dog may start showing an interest in the bitch before there's any physical signs like bleeding from the vulva. After about a week her chuffa will be well swollen and she'll probably be ready to stand after about twelve days from the first sign. Just watch out for the tell tale little spots of blood, you'll probably twig there's something happening before it does anyway.
  13. ...new age travellers are dirty hippies that skip round stones smoking pot.. Used to get real gypsy's park their caravan by the local station for the winter, that's a horse drawn caravan by the way, then sell pegs and lace round the village. Now we get the pikeys with their chavvies in tow pull up every now and again. DIGZY, I've never heard the term gorger before ...just had to look it up!
  14. Think about it lads!...It's not the baseball bats and the kitchen devils in Sainsburys we need to worry about. It's the nasty fecking scummie kids that want to look wellard with a flash flick nife!...No street cred carrying a bread knife! Yea so they can rob their mums kitchen or their dads shed for a weapon but it's not the same as having a nice piece of kit in your track suit trousers is it? It's shit heads like the youth of today that mean I can't walk out with a sencible knife to gut a rabbit when the dog brings one back on a mooch. I blaim that Blair, stopping us giving the li
  15. Well, as far as I know Gypsy's and travellers are not the same ...Gypsys are a race on their own and I've nothing against gypsy's or Jews so don't have a go at me guys... Travellers, well there's the hippy type that are harmless and then there's the type that go round dumping shit in every field they stay in and conning old pensioners into having their roof/drive repaired...well they do round here anyway!...But of course there are some genuine travellers as testament on this web size proves so let's give them all the benefit of the doubt... and stop the racist crap ...Just my opinion!
  16. Put some vents in the nest box to get rid of the condensation... And don't wash/bath your ferrets, particularly this time of year..
  17. Sounds like they will have beaters for free.. I've heard of these beaters courses, do they teach you how to rattle cover and keep in line...
  18. The same kind that wants to shoot pretend soldiers all day!
  19. Let's suppose your project gets up and running, you know my thoughts on it so I won't go there again, what happens if in a few years for what ever reason you can't carry on controlling them? Does your release land have neighbours with sheep or other animals that need the grass on their land?
  20. Check with your local Nissa dealer but I think I'm right in saying that like all cars from the late eighties early nineties the Terrano is also galvanised!
  21. I agree whin.. Sorry sniper I didn't intend to cause a ruck and I certainly don't have any issues with Lucky If I feel someone is dropping themselves in it in the future I will PM them.
  22. The date and time is there for all to see, it needs no special technique to see. But of course there is no date on Lucky's camera No problem with your picture Justin whenever it was taken, it's just a dead fox. Good hunting
  23. Hi Chris,...No, can't say I've had any experience in that department. Took a little interest in gundogs some years back and I understood that the handlers needed a little training to work with ready made/trained gundogs. Sounds like your mate had some bad luck. Keeper on a shoot near me trained his own lab' and went on to win field trials. Bloody great to see a good/proper gundog do the business, can a lurcher do the same I wonder!
