  1. If anyone is interested in signing this petition the RNLI would be very grateful. The link is at the end of the message. For info/action. Please forward to anyone you think might help by signing the petition. The background: RADIOS BILL MAY SCUPPER RNLI LIFEBOAT crews fear being scuppered by crippling new charges for using their radios from Ofcom, the communications regulator. The RNLI could see the price of using its VHF emergency frequencies rise to £250,000 under plans to charge the full commercial rate. The charity, which saves hundreds of lives every year currentl
  2. Best pair of boots I've ever used :- http://www.bushwear.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=8223

    Boots & Wellies

Good choice - very similar to the Douvre Extreme - just a little bit shorter on the leg :)

    Boots & Wellies

Meindl Douvre Extreme - great pair of boots, would never go back to wellies now.
  6. Can't believe you haven't sold this at that price - well over £200 new (I've got the DB2 model). Try e-bay - they usually fetch a good price on there.
  7. If you've got more than one dog you can get the larger size. I've got 4 cockers & I get the 40 - 60 kg size which is enough for my 4 dogs. I use a syringe (without the needle) to measure & apply it. Get mine from pets-megastore - http://www.pets-megastore.com.au/index.php?cPath=165_6_20&osCsid=5775aae85d7b7b8be786cde8027d5e22
  8. Yep - you get much more support from a proper boot - I'd recommend the Meindl range - either the Glockner or the Douvre Extreme. Around the £165 mark, had my Douvres for just over two years now & plenty of life still in them - and they are still waterproof - just put some nikwax wax on them occasionally.
  9. When I had my pups jabbed I was informed the the second jab should be minimum of 2 weeks after the 1st one & also that the pups must be 10 weeks or older for the second one - & then to wait one more week before taking them out.
  10. There's a pretty good & free ballistic reticule calculator programme on the Hawke site - http://www.hawkeoptics.com/brc/index.htm
  11. No, but usually the rails are fastened onto the posts & then the slats on top of the rails. The posts may not match up exactly to the gap. If all the gaps between the posts are made equal they will have gaps of 89.25" if using 5 posts & having one post at each end.
  12. You'll be 5 planks short - you will need 75 for 3" boards - 2" gap
  13. Well seeing as your head is not too clear at the moment :D - 3" plank 2" gap = 372 / 5 = 75 planks.
  14. He will need 47 planks. Fence length - 31 ft., which is 372 inches 4 inch plank + 4 inch gap = 8 inches 372 divided by 8 = 46.5 - but the last plank used will be a full plank, not a half plank, so 47 planks are required. What ever width plank & gap you decide to use add the two up together & divide into 372 inches, then round up.
  15. That would be how many you need if they were 3" planks & gaps.
  16. Nooo it's not - in the next 12 inches it will be 4" gap - 4" plank - 4" gap - so only 1 plank for the second 12" - then back to 2 planks for the next 12".
  17. 47 x 4"planks x 4ft each = 188ft of planks - if bought in multiples of 4ft / 8ft / 16ft. (you will only need 3 planks in every 2ft)
  18. Or a Cocker ?? <--------------<<<<<<<<
  19. Mmm maybe not just yet - just had another look at an e-mail I sent to the kennel club about this - along with their reply :- And just to add an extra note to this - I took my 10 week old pup for her second jab last friday & enquired about getting her chipped at some time & even though they would do it now they preferred I wait until the pup is @ 6 months old.
  20. To do it legally you need to find a vet that will still do them. So your terriers can still be legally docked. You need to take photographic proof of your identity and a letter from your local shoot saying you dog is a working dog on the shoot. You will also be required to have the pups microchipped (I think this is supposed to be done at the same time as the docking - but really a pup this young is much too young to be chipped).
  21. Have a look here for Frontline spray - http://www.bestpetpharmacy.co.uk/search_results.asp 100ml - £11.75, 250ml - £27.07 & 500ml - £34.06 - need a prescription though Does anyone know if the stuff in the spray is the same as the Frontline Spot on Dog ? I've got 4 cockers, so I have been buying Frontline Plus 40 - 60kg size Spot on Dog & using a syringe to divide it into 4 doses & applying it to the skin (no not injecting it ), which works out a lot cheaper than buying 4 individual treatments, but if the spray stuff is the same it will work out even cheaper :D
  22. Tell them the mother must of chewed / bitten it when it was very young - then let them prove otherwise.
