  1. Love the dogs mate. whats the nearest one?
  2. so you'd say a whippet x whippet/beddy. the smoother the pup at about 7 weeks the better chance of it being a broken coat ye? where would yoou look for a good working stock family?
  3. whats the average size of these? i would want a small lurcher. if the pup is a smooth coated is it less likly to get rough and be more of a broken coat?
  4. does a bit of greyhound blood in them help at all, i like a broken coat but not too much of a coat like a bedlington? are most of them grey in colour aswell?
  5. shes a great looking dog, that would be perfect for what i want, what was the breeding? is there pedigree in her?
  6. Is he likely to get a thicker coat than that when he gets older or is that about it?
  7. Id prefer a smooth coated, and too look mainly like a whippet, ive heard that a beddy adds a bit speed to it, anything else it adds? does pedigree matter or which way the cross is i.e wether the bitch or the dog is the whippet. if its 3/4 whippet and 1/4 beddy how likly will it be smooth coated? sorry not my farm so noot anyone can go on it!
  8. hi all, im looking at getting a whippet but ive seen alot about bedlington x whippets. I wanted to get a smooth cotted whippet but think maybe getting a cross would be better. It will be mainly kept as a pet on a working farm but also wanted to do a bit of lamping or mooching. wondered if anyone had any info as what cross would be best, 2nd crosses dont bother me either
