    Well thats good because aswell as rats i'd like to go for rabbits and the cross isn't that big so it would fit nicely in our utility with are old lab. When would you say is a good time to buy a pup ?

    Another question how could i train it not to run off down any fox holes, as this would be something i really would not like it to do.

    Hi guys thanks for all the advice and positive comments . Unfortunatley we couldnt take the russel out to day as only a week ago he had his nuts done and they have gone a bit swollen and red. But once they have got better let the ratting begin ! I will put some pics of him up soon.

    well my grandad said i could give his russell a go so im not gunna buy one, hopefully he'll be alright thanks for all the replies

    Cheers mate, my grandad has a jack russell who is 10 mo old is he to old to start him off on rats ?

    Hi, i am 14 years and i am thinking of getting myself a terrier to go ratting with as where i keep pigs and chickens their are loads of rats. I am a complete novice and i think this would be a hobby i would enjoy, so if any of you experts could give me some advice on what breeds and how to go about ratting i'd be very grateful. Look foward to some replies.
