    thats a good point thats worth reading. it was just my opinion that if there was trials at shows then at least yad see a dog doin a bit of work then it could be entered into a working terrier show, i just dont know why the dogs at the working terrier shows that win look like theyve came outa a salon lol, so how come they can rip the back outa crufts for show dogs on how they look nicely trimmed washed etc whenever 90% of the time the wt show judges do the same. thats all

    im no anti either and never would i ever cause any harm to any dog like that and i dont like it but its an old way boys used to sell on shit dogs by the amount of scars the dog had, im not saying it happens now a days but it used to yrs ago the net takes the prize of selling the shite on now.

    ive never seen or heard of anyone doing that around here feckin disgracefull. And open a tin of dog food with a tin opener and leave the dog to push it's muzzle in to get the grub and thus get cut about the face. Cheers, D.     good replies here, its nice to see that other people dont follow the crowd like myself , im not doubting any of the big names in terriers that the dogs are sh1te or anything just wondering how many had their own lines. and had anybody started from so called pet stock. when i was younger it was the jack russells from the street that we took up the fields and they just had the instinct to go to ground. the we things were dug too every week by us as young teenagers lol mid 90s

    theres also the old razor trick by nicking the dogs skin to get the scars why people do it is beyond me. but in my own opinion they should drop WORKING terrier show to just terrier show cause unless they bring live prey in to work like the old shows did then id just see show type dogs not workers as we all know ya cant even kill a fkn rat incase ya offend some bird molester or bunny hugger. also stops any bitching at the shows after that. and if they did bring back the old trials then yad se the workers from the spice dogs (show stuff bred to only look good) afraid to do a days graft
