Got me an old landy. Galvanised Chassis Tax exempt. 200TDi Range Rover Diffs Overdrive £120 to Insure. £40 each last tyres I bought. £49 gets ya a complete set of Brakes. Pulls trailer c/w 2 pallets of 6" Blocks. Can throw a deer or a few dozen rabbits in the back, then power wash it out in the morning! Got it's luxuries too, night heater in there. Bought a CD Player, but you'd never hear it! Goes anywhere (Up untill now) Priceless to me. I'll take ya for a run in it after your BMs, L200s, Hi-Luxes Rot away. In the meantime, I'll away and cound my pennies in

Waht would it cost you for say a wheel bearing? Or Head Gasket? Set of Brakes? Admittedly, sound like you got not a bad deal there tho

A few guys on here will give you Good advice... You may just have to wait 'till they appear.
-
That said, I'm a good guy and don't know what a 'section 20' is
-
Well what did you tell the cops..............self defence ?............section 34cjpoa kicks in if you didn't............did you have a brief ? I'd be more worried about being being locked up than whether he's going to come after you for some damage claim. To be honest mate you sound like a hong gun that has over reacted and is now in the shit.......get yourself a brief if you haven't already. Best of luck. Bell Must admit, if some boy had came up in my face shoving his head up against me, I would have a hard job not clappin his lug either! Easy to say, that he over reacted, but in

They'll be pulling up Santa next month for cruelty to Raindeers!..

!!!!!!!!!!! You'd have a hard time 'proving' it tho..what a pain. Is the dog ok? As has been mentioned tho, was he driving 'safely'? As much as I too would have wanted to chin him, He had just smashed his car, and if you have gun tickets it would have been better to bite your tongue. Hope you get it all sorted out......cheaply. Keep us updated.

It's a good read, and interesting to see how things are panning out.
-
Home Insurance likely to cover that then?? Just re-read the original post again....Got it now Unfortunately, I think you'll find that somehow, you will have to cough up for repairs (Hopefully via House Insurance?)
-
Guy beside us could do it, but we're North of Aberdeen. He does excellent work and takes great pride in showing you photos of the work he's done.
-
He should have insurance to be on the road...if no, as RT already said, Plod should be more interested in that. Chinning him will not have helped your case.....but, Yup, if your hound caused him to prang his motor, it should be dealt with through your dog's insurance. Know a guy who had to do exactly that a few weeks ago.

Had a Ruger for a lot of years. Only had 3 issues 1- When the wax of the bullets combined with Rape Seed pollen created a nice yellow 'glue' in the magazines and bolt area 2- When I thought I could strip and clean the magazines.....not a great success, problem getting tension correct. 3- Needed scope rings re-secured one time when it started throwing bullets everywhere. Accounted for hundreds of rabbits, very few misses (apart from my own fault), and as has already been said, are quite capable at a distance if need be.

04fox8 replied to mushroom's topic in General Talk
Good opportunity for someone that, Always looks good on the CV for future employers if they see you've been away and coped with it. Personally never been, know pleanty who have, and drink is not a problem. -
Do you know me?

Gordon Sutherland. Like I say, I don't know him personally, but know his brother very well.

Hercules. His place was up for sale the other week.

Well, Think I've cracked it! I was sorting out some photos on my hard drive the other day, and noticed something, which got me thinking. Before the extension was built, the 'stink pipe' used to exit the roof slap bang in the middle of where the new roof butts up against it. Got home Today, and straight up into the 'loft' of the new extension! Sure enough, Stink Pipe is still there, as is a new Vent in the new roof, c/w pipe heading towards the original pipe................But NOT connected! F**kers have also went as far as putting the rolls of insulation up there, but the

When we first got Tex i was only 16 and it was my dad who had final say so he was asking the lads on the shoot advice etc...anyway they said if you're getting a dog it MUST go outside otherwise if it's in the house it will soften up and refuse to work in the cold etc :hmm:which is a load of bollocks! Mine both sleep out in the kennel and have the run of the garden but come in the living room when someones in and the pup sleeps on the couch lol no worries about them going soft whatsoever when they swim in the north sea all year round!! Read it a lot, that if they are kennelled, they're

If it's not, at least it will be well fed!

Fair Point. As mentioned before, I've got a spaniel trainer close to me, Plan is to try and spend some time with him. I'll just be watching and learning.
-
Cheers for that. Yes, I've been reading back through this whole section (currently at page 60) Only really been reading the posts which stood out as spaniel related, but once I get to the end, I'll be reading back through some of the others. Some very good posts / answers from people who certainly appear to know what they're speaking about. I say appear, cos I don't know anyone from Adam on here, no disrespect. Like I said originally, I just don't want to f**k it up from the start, I'd rather appear an idiot before / without a dog, than actually be one with a dog!

Cheers for the replies, Pup will be in kennel from day 1. I'm not a total b**tard, so kids can have some fun with it. Just finished reading another book yesterday, but still not 100% sure about the non - training time. Should they get off the leads and have a 'free for all' when out and about, or should it be kept on the lead at all times when not getting the 'training' ? Read, and re-read, Watched and Re-Watched and each time I'm picking up something more. Maybe attention was taken up by watching what the handler was doing, then watch it again, and concentrate on the dog and then 3
