Thanks for the comments folks. Overnight barking stopped totally (for now at least) so hopefully she'll get into the routine of actually going in there at night time. Like I said, total novice at all of this, so I'll take a bit of training too. Been reading the books, and watching the DVDs for the last year or so......Thought, "OK, Lets get that pup now", and I think each day since then there has been 'something' I haven't been sure of and thought to myself, " B**tards never mentioned that in their video / book" Every day's a school day tho, I'll get there........................

Cheers for replies folks. It won't be getting molly coddled by Mrs me, I think she's 'harder' than me with the pup. Just worried I was doing anything / going to do anything that was heading off in the wrong direction. Like I say, Not so bad through the night now for howling, 1st few nights were an experience. She's fly, As soon as you make the move towards the kennel, she's off round the corner. Even walking in that direction, and we're not in a confined space, she will not head that way. Cheers again folks.

One week into owning our 1st dog, (now 9 weeks old) she still howls in her kennel (though getting better through the night now). When you try to put her in, as soon as we walk towards it, she's off in the opposite direction. Sometimes, we have to put her in out of harms way whilst there are motors moving about, and until we get ourselves fed etc and she is NOT a happy camper. She will be 100% kennel dog. Is it still early days, or could there be something I'm doing wrong / not doing? I was worried that she may be cold after getting a hard time from a friend who keeps his dog inside,

Why does he want to get 'independent' from England, yet still be involved with the EU Circus? Not very f**kin independent dealing with them are we?? Where are the radical 'benefits' going to come from? Went to see a litter of Springer pups last night. Guy was very cagey with any info on the mother, apart from he said she was (allegedly) a FTC and had won trophies ....at one time ...he says. Anyway, few anomalies along the way, and the pups were just 6 weeks old, still with their mother, despite the guy saying they were weaned.... No jags or anything and he was needing what I would say was too much for 'sketchy' pup. Was I right to walk away? Having worked in Angola for the past few years, seeing the wealth they have, and the poverty I would say we should stop. You can see a guy going up the middle of the road with no legs, and a guy swerving around him in his X6 BMW ! I believe their president is, if not THE, he is one of the largest land owners in Brazil! I was speaking to a local guy to us there on Friday, His wife is Philapino, and they were visiting her family over Christmas. The only thing they got for 'aid' during the floods etc was 1kg of rice! Do your sums, and then do them again. Know 2 or 3 families that went there with work thinking they were on a good deal. All came back cos they hadn't allowed enough for TAX etc etc.... Also know a few who are still there tho, and they love it! Was down for a month once, and it is a great place. All the best....Go for it.

you can use any oil tbh tomo but hydraulic oil ignites sooner than engine oil and doesnt cause as much smoke ... still if you get caught running on heating oil , your looking at a big fine Don`t think that would worry me,,, fuckem I say. Yup, They gotta catch ya 1st.

Aye.. Ah`ve still got ma Papa`s pipe and I can still picture him everytime I smell pipe baccy One day I`ll smoke that pipe as well. It`s even on a wee stand shaped like an auld man wi a pipe. E-pipe !! aye that would be cool like ! lol You can get a cheap one for about £35, or there are some at £hundreds! They look quite good / real.

Our wood burner heats the whole house and the hot water. Gas boiler comes on in the morning before we get up, but that's it! Stove eats about 3 barrow fulls a day from morning to night when running all day. Unfortunately, it's f**ked, and beyond repair, which I was having a good look at. £2,500 Odd for replacement, but last 'load' of sticks (25T) will have saved us over £3k on gas by the time it's finished... That'll have been 3 winters.

Both my Grandas smoked the pipe. Used to love the smell. I was only wee when my 1st Granda died, and I got a wee envelope of fencing staples he'd had in his pocket which smelled of his tobacco. I was chuffed. On the vapouriser fag type thing the noo, looking at getting a pipe version of it, they look quite decent and more robust than the pen-like thing I'm using the noo. Modern day twist to it I suppose.

Well, Just read all the replies......and..... I'm still non the wiser what I will do! Good and Bad points with both options Like my time off I currently get, but the s**t we have to put up with when away is what's getting on my wick the noo. Nothing dangerous, or hazardous, just constant pointless 'hastles' and niggling cr*p that grinds ya down after a while. Maybe I'm just going through a phase I can hear myself turning into one of those whinging c**ts I cannot stand, and who only make things worse!

Currently away for a month, then at home for a month! Could be in my own bed every night, but would not actually be able to get involved with some of the day to day things as I'd be away at my job if I take the 'at home' one. Just now I can go to bits and pieces with the youngsters every other month.....

Not a football man atall, but isn't this exactly the reason they are all f**ked now? Every other month we are now hearing about another team in the sh*t. Once again I am NOT a football man, or a buisness man atall, so I may be way off the mark, but to me, if you are 'loosing' '£x' amount each month....it can't go on....no?
