Thanks guys :-) You have really helped ease my mind some. I will join BASC as a full member (but was rather hoping to join closer to when I get my licence to get more time on the membership) - i know that sounds stingey, but with kids and a house to run money is never easy to come by here. Paperwork being finalised this weekend and will pop the ref letters to my two ref's on weekend also - fingers crossed :-)

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am 22 and work in pest control. I have always had a fascination with history and military history is one of my favorites thus my interest of guns was started years back. I only really thought about airguns since working in pest control and seeing our bird technicians shoot pigeons in commercial properties. I haven't any dogs/ferrets/hawks and as of yet i am still needing to by an gun. (I have my eye on a stoeger X20s if anyone's heard of one of them?) - i do drive also. I understand about getting very accurate before going for live quarry though.

Hi All, I am new to the world of airguns. I have always wanted to start up and am now finally doing so. However i just wanted to ask a quick question: I live in Colchester and was wondering if there are any members who have permissions on land nearby who wouldn't mind a newbie coming along for a hunt? and also, is there any ranges locally? I understand a fair amount of the biology of animals as i work in pest control but would very much like to start hunting outside of work. Hi again and thanks for reading, Regards, Chris
