  1. For sale is my Meopta 6x42, included in the sale is the front and rear Butler Creeks, the Leupold rings, but not the bases. If you are looking for a mint condition scope this not for you. The tube has marks on it, they were there when I bought it. I have shown this as best as I can in the pictures. Optically it's spot on with no marks on the glass. I do not have the box. This scope and rifle has taken many fox and deer. Selling to help towards another scope. £150 ONO inc RMSD************SOLD***********

  5. My mate bought a Remmy SPS stainless in 308 on Saturday and I think it was £619.
  6. Hawke MIL-PPO 4-16x56 IR with mounts. This scope used to sit on my 22-250 and was extremely reliable. It has a red or green illuminated reticle, each with 5 brightness settings. As stated this scope is used and the illumination on the lowest settings still works , but you sometimes need to "twiddle the knob" a little to make it work. I had a look at this problem and there is, what looks like, a brass ring that has a bit of wear in it. It doesn't happen all the time and didn't bother me but just being as honest as I can. Has a couple of small ring marks. This was an expensive scope when I bough
  7. I use an illuminated red dot on my S&B when lamping. I find its much easier to pick up the target with the IR, especially if the targets against a very dark background.
  8. 30-06 180gr Winchester 243 100gr Privi ( and soooooo cheap) 22-250 55gr Federal 17HMR 17gr Remington 22 Eley Subs Shotgun - don't matter - can't hit a cows arse with a shovel at the moment!!
  9. I'm no expert, but if you've tried a variety of bullets, you should have found a suitable load by now. I have a Remmy SPS which shoots 100 gn Privi's tighter than that, your Sako is of far better quality. As someone said before, let someone else try the rifle for you, just to put your mind at rest. If that doesn't work, have a serious word with the person you bought it from.

  13. I had the same problem as you. After some time , I realised that even with a neoprene cover on , the light was reflecting off of the mod. With the light on, I tried to find which bit was reflecting. It turns out it was the back of the T8. If I covered this area with my finger it was OK. What I do now is stretch the neoprene cover back towards the barrel and let it hang down untill it is just off the barrel. I also repositioned the butler creek cover to just off centre, to take some of the downward light away. I use a lightforce 170 and this gives enough power and adjustment to allow me to see,
  14. 22.250 for me! The comments about ammo are spot on, but once you've got the right combo it's an cracking tool. My remmy prefers Federal and Norma both ballistic tipped.
  15. Like the pictures, you're doing a great job. what distances are you shooting them at?
