Free Saluki/Greyhound/Whippet in need of good home
heza replied to heza's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
THIEVES AND SCOUSERS I do not feel the need to explain myself to you but, since you have chosen to make this such an issue I will - whether you believe me or not is entirely up to you, and I personally could'nt care less either way! I am extemely busy with my 84yr old Dad, who I visit in hospital every lunch time to feed him, my middle daughter who has just gone into supported accommodation this week (she has Asperger's Syndrome - a form of autism), and I have had intermittent online connection all this week due to a fault on BT broadband. Is that enough of an explanation for you? -

Morning all, just to let everyone know, my dog has settled in happily with the sister of the breeder we got him from. My husband saw him yesterday, and he is being thoroughly spoilt, has his own armchair, sleeps on the bed.......! fortunately he is being worked as well! Many thanks to all of you who responded with kind offers. -

Many thanks everyone for the mostly kind messages! At the moment the dog is with the sister of our friend who bred him, so we know them and can still see him, however if for any reason she is unable to keep him (he's on a week's trial) I will let all who are genuinely interested know. I've asked that she let me know within a week so he's not passed on to anyone else and comes back to me. He really needs a lot of work and if she is not able to give him this I will pick him up on Friday. To thieves and scousers. MY DOG WILL NOT BE GOING TO THE KNACKERS YARD. If you've nothing helpful to say -
Happy New Year all! Not a good start to the year for us. My elderly father was taken ill just before christmas, and most of my time is taken up with caring for him. As a result my 18mth old saluki/greyhound/whippet dog is just not getting as much time as he deserves. He needs a lot of work, he would run all day and with the right owner will make a fabulous coursing dog. I live on the East Sussex/Kent border just outside Tunbridge Wells. Anyway if anyone can help, please let me know. Many thanks Sally.

Hello Rookie, I have an 18 month old saluki/greyhound/whippet cross dog. He's predominantly black with a white chest. He runs like the wind and would happily run all day. I now unfortunately don't have time for him. I have an elderly father who just before christmas was taken ill, and now I am mostly looking after him. The dog is housetrained, and has not been castrated. He is in desperate need of being exercised regularly. He loves kids, and has been spoiled by mine! I paid £200 for him, but I would just like him to go to a good home, so money is not a priority just a bonus. Please get in to

Thanks guys, good to have such positive feedback - it's the first litter I've bred and I'm trying to do right by them, so it's good to hear what all you experienced dog people think! Many thanks Sally

We have a litter of pups and have used Bob Martin worming tablets crushed up in food - any thoughts? and does anyone know where we can get Milbemax from if that's the wormer everyone recommends, I'd like to use it. Also any thoughts on food, our Collie/Greys are on SkinnersField and Trial Puppy Mix.

Hello Rory, Looked on your gallery, gorgeous looking blue merles you have there. Very rarely see them where I live.
-
Hi Dougal, love the pics on your profile, what cross are they?
-
Yes, Sire is border collie. Pretty sure they'll all make decent lurchers in the right hands, which is why I'm so concerned they get homed with the right sort of people! Glad you like them Stormyboy.
