  1. I have also the howa very accurate . A reliable model for a very good price.
  2. I'm going I ain't got the intelligence to b out spoken or the confidence either , but I am going to be affected by this bill. So I feel it's my responsibility to be their even if it's just to improve numbers and I'm bringing a few boys to .every little helps.
  3. Say you take your terrier out first time roughly year old take him to an earth he should go , if the stuff is their . I no this ain't always the case but more often than not this is what should happen with good stock worker to worker. I suppose it what you set your standards out to be. We all look for different things in a terrier. I don't think their should be much pissing around with a terrier if his going to work you should be able to spot it quickly enough.
  4. Shouldn't self entering be the norm for a working terrier , where I come from anyway. I expect mine to, had some needing little bit encouragment. And some won't go at all. But surely it's instinct it's in their blood. Correct me if I'm wrong or been one minded. I'm sure I going to be.
  5. Fair play to ya young man ,no messing about get the job done. it ain't that complicated .
  6. They make great little fox dogs . wish I had my one back . Some lucky fecker is getting the privilege of working her.
  7. Not at all , all are terriers vary .
  8. I think alot of us haven't what we think we have. But myself included I ain't to fussed bout lines history to much at the end of the day if they re producing good workers for me I'm happy.
  9. Their are a few good digging borders I'm sure but there well in decline and IMO I think their f****d now . ya don't here as good thing bout this breed as you do bout others. It's unfortunate but it's been realistic bout the breed. But the few keeping the small amount of good borders going fare play and I wish them all the luck in the world .
  10. Well said ' I wouldn't like to pay for a border that works foxes my God prob two grand going by what I'm reading. And to be fair the border has to be the worst pics of a terrier for terrier work so where are these crazy prices coming madness.
  11. I think how noisy above ground has nothing got to do with their work underground. How could it. Hate noisy dogs but had some myself and were good workers it's part a the parcel.
  12. No guarantee s my friend with any breed come on we all no that. That's just something to say to make the wallet a he'll of alot fatter and fool some kid starting out.
  13. Maybe it's cause a good border is rare. Very high price.
  14. It's out if our hands all we can do is make sure what's in our yards are workers and pups parents have been well tested workers and expect a high standard from our little friends and not to brake that chain. But money is a powerfull thing it feeds greed.
  15. And possible legless ha.. A no we all differ like I said in here before for pure staying ground work I personally favor the Pat but for bushing and bolting the Russell goes along way
  16. A I'm just keeping the banter going it's all down to personal choice. But for obvious reasons his better of with the Pat at the end of the day it's a winner by a mile even with two legs and no head it would have thr advantage.
  17. Get a half decent Pat and it will be far superior.
  18. Agree, and when they mentioned a small number of case s of fox harming human physically they used the word alleged on that matter they choose their words very carefully.
