First Shotgun - Advice Please Folks
goldenlad replied to hutchey's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I got my shot gun licence this year and ended up buying a really nice miruku under and over really nice to use and its steel safe so if I wanted I can shoot duck etc and I got it half price of what they are selling for. Im now looking at a 410 to have something a little different to play with and also teach my son how to shoot -
Hqve you tried putting them in a sandwich bag then wrap in abit of kitchen roll or turn your freezer down a tad, I have mixed meat in my freezer from rabbit and deer to rook and pheasant and not had a prob

Hi guys im after some help, ive just sent off for my licence and have just about everything in place except the gun of course. What im after is tips for setting out rook decoys ive seen and heard the horseshoe shape is best for woodies but what about rooks etc? I was also told to mix up the decoys as both will come in better if both look as if they are feeding, is this true? And is it a good idea to put a rabbit carcass out with a few rook decoys on/next to it to draw them in? Any help or photos of patterns would be great. Many thank in advance
