Use the Blackthorn as the Beaters stick, hard as Iron once Seasoned! Butch

Cut your Stick longer than you need to and dip the ends In Wax, that will stop the splitting hopefully but If It doesn't then you can cut the split ends off and still have enough for your stick Put It In the Shed now and forget about It 'till next Year sometime.. Butch

My first Dog was a Black Lab out of my Uncles little strain that He bred, I was 2 Years old She was kept at my Nans but was my Dog and worked on the Pheasant Shoot 'till She was about 12. We had Her put down a few Weeks back age 15, I buried Her In my Uncles Garden and was absolutely heart broken! :no: Butch

We're trying to Hatch some Pheasants fo next Season, got 50 Eggs at the moment Gunna give some to a mate who's going to use the Incubator and then my Uncle's going to borrow a few Broody Hens to deal with the rest. Is It true that If the Humidity's wrong then the Chicks can come out deformed? Butch -

Just rang Him and He was really keen on the Idea as He said there was far too many Rabbits about! He said that If I got It then I would have to tell Him every time I was going to go up there and be very specific about where I was going and what I was Shooting. I think this Is because of the Pheasants they're Rearing? But anyway looks promising, He's gunna speak to the Gamekeeper and ring me before Friday. Butch

I just rang one of the big Farmers round my way to see If I could get some Permission to Shoot Rabbits with the Air Rifle and He said to ring back later as He was spraying so couldn't talk, He also said that He'd have to speak to the Game Keeper. He seemed alright though and I'll see how It goes How hard was It for you lot to get Permission and would you say It was harder to get Permission for Shooting than Ferreting or Running the Dogs etc?
