Up early and took the dog for walk around the local farm to see how we looking rabbit wise for the start when the time comes. Saw a few about so some thing to look forward too and also saw a hare which are all ways thin on the ground. Collected some manure then and the poor old dog wishes I had a van A friend of the daughters gifted me a fennel bush/tree so got that planted out and few beets and other bits things are struggling a bit in the heat and no rain Picked a load of peas broad beans and goosegogs and the production line going a -
Wouldn't go to halfords as a rule but this model over the years has a good reputation for a solid good value bike https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/hybrid-bikes/carrera-subway-1-mens-hybrid-bike-18-20-22-frames also if you are on facebook check out your local for sale groups some bargains to be had. I picked up a tourer and a mountain bike but good quality bikes for 50 quid for the pair. Been riding the tourer to work for over a year. Best bike i ever had

Our lurcher is in but next will be kept out. I think you can avoid few bad habits and his tending to get bit clingy with every one. Flying to the door when the wife comes home that sort of thing. Just little things that bug me. Plus his crated if we all go any where so you got to worry about how long you go. At least out doors in a run you can leave for the day

you could try a double knot version of what Tiercil is using in his video ? Soon get rhythm going

nope Just don't call the dog when you know it won't come back which sounds a bit daft because that will be when you want the bugger back. But to start just form the habit of all ways coming back. So practice in the house on a lead throw in a treat or two. But what helped me most was using the same command for a turn about on a long line. So two peeps and I spun about and he soon learned to spin around or the line tugged him. Plus it meant we were heading off in a dif direction which he liked and I deliberately headed some where interesting. After a while i used it as the recall as well -

Get the stock training sorted or your in for a stressful life constantly on edge. If you have any sense any way . To quote a friend the best way to stop them chasing stock is to never let them start -
Your mission will be to find a nice small set of holes that contain a rabbit so you can get off to a good start. Stick young ferrets down empty holes just gets them messing about. Not the end of the world though

Hi there a couple of links here might be helpful. Few variations

Brave men can't think of nothing worse but it is obviously there thing. Bet they would cry like babies if you asked them to ferret a black thorn hedge around here Top job ? and not over yet now they got to get the kids out some how

Yes I think you are right my beddy whippet was a feather weight and tiny and I could lamp her any where. She seemed to float over stuff. Sadly didn't float over an electric fence one night. But that was invisinvisible and she had to retire after that. MY big pudding now is four times the weight and it gives me a cold shiver when I think of his last tumble. I could hear him running full blast down through an open wood. I could hear the thud thud as he went flat out. I new it wasn't going to end well then I heard an all might yelp when he hit the fence then quiet followed by a whopping thud
