  4. Is it just for summer use ? They are a pain in the bad weather and everything ends up sodden mess. Great in this heat though
  5. Perfect Samr the dog is doing it's thing naturally and they make great little ferreters assuming you have broken it too ferrets.
  6. My tommy a grand dog who had just gone 2 years and was putting in hard nights on the lamp back then and couldn't fault him. Just lovely dog in general. One night was last though and I had to carry off the field. Can remember the events like yesterday even though it was nearly thirty years ago.   8. As some one who just potters around after few rabbits I don't worry too much. Just work him slowly fit. Handy full of runs on the lamp and build up as weather gets better. His well exercised any way. Plus give him a week or two into the season and he will have come a cropper anyway and be laid up for a month if previous years are any thing to go by
  9. Well it was blood boiling yesterday after work but I needed to walk the dog and fancied a pigeon for the pot. The only field of stubble was right at the bottom of the farm so I had sweaty old hike in with all the gear. My shooting was dire with the pigeons coming in full steam with a strong breeze behind them. You can tell by the dog things were bad. As a rule after every shot his bouncing about wanting to storm out the hide.
