  1. Yep laplander going well. Carry around most the time makes short work of timber. Not sure if it’s an age thing but as I get older I have started cutting any thing to make a natty or a walking stick lol. Get most excited when I see a nice fork or bit of blackthorn
  2. I got quote off second vet 240 and then bingo a third vet 95 quid with out sending test away. So went from £660 down to 95 so happy that. I guess Hob needs to be in season to be done ?
  3. I will leave this here Apologies for the delay in replying, the estimate for a vasectomy of a ferret is £660. so spotless hutch it is then
  4. Did something very similar once they asked me to trim branch off tree in the school field. Put ladder up against it. Thought piece piss this compared to what I normally did. Trimmed end off this big branch but what I didn’t consider was once the weight was removed off the end the branch sprung up. I had the ladder hanging on by about an inch. No one noticed and I shimmied down pretty quick. Would looked right plum if that ladder had gone and I face planted in school Field
  5. Christ lucky it don’t take much. Todays health and safety must be right ball ache but definitely saves lives
  6. Will watch that later. It was bad enough here in uk but typically the yanks do everything bigger so there trees are lot bigger so more risk. Closest I came was hung up tree that I forgot about fell on me sent me sliding down hill with chainsaw bar bout inch from my face going full blast cause cause my fingers stuck on throttle. One guy lost am arm on tracker pto . One had tree split and caught him right between legs sent him air born. Few scarred for life one chap across the face. Good times I do miss it
  7. Certainly worth knocking you may get nice surprise. Some land owners are absolutely brilliant. In short supply but they are out there. Politeness and respectability is the key and come across as harmless as possible.
  8. Don’t be silly lucky now a days if you can hunt with permission. But it pays to be flexible
  9. Electric cars are ridiculous who’s got time to waiting around while you charge your car so you can go the shop or whatever. No idea how long they take to charge. There’s few points around and people sat in there cars reading paper or having a coffee. Complete joke.
  10. First bunny all ways special. Lovely looking dog
  11. Yes as far as mine is just past corner of my mouth. If I go further back then my gerbil chops with push it out further to side. Took me while to figure that out. The shorter the better for me. But I also use nice light bands. Don’t get on with heavy bands at all
  12. Yes the Silky does seem recommended which I spotted after I ordered the Laplander. Not known for my patience lol
  13. Thanks folks I just bought a Laplander bahco 23 quid so not too bad
  14. Some thing to stick in my bag in case I see nice stick or catty on my walks. Any recommendations?
  15. Excellent Smithie nice to see you got out. Good little haul too. Bloody weather been mental lately. I know we like our windy nights but Christ give us a break lol
  16. Ahh yes it’s a cracking meat one of the best I think. Thank you yes very pleased with her
  17. Lamping up to farm houses that brings back memories. Back then even if they woke they would just know you were after a rabbit and causing no harm so not worth bothering with. All ways the odd over sensitive one though lol. How times have changed
  18. It sure is addictive. I now have a scout, evo, wasp and just got the gear I need to cut the bands. I can't hit a barn mind. Though I made my self a natty couple months ago. Then twigged by accident that my reference point needs to not be the corner of the frame but due to my fat head lol needs to be a few mil to the left. My natty had a blemish on it there and I just tried it and started hitting stuff. Also holding my little pinky out like posh git drinking a cuppa has helped with consistency

  20. Long hedge at right angle from big thick old wood. Rare to find one to ground in hedge as they come out the woods. Popped a net across the gap between the end of the hedge and the wood and hoped for one sitting out. Walked up one side and bit of scent the far side. She went through then and picked hot scent started working hedge back to the wood. Sure enough our prize was waiting back out tonight then. Moon is up but rough night and blind set 50 yard down and walked around the top with little hand torch. Saw about half a dozen or maybe six ambling over the brow to
