Any one know the name of Glenn Waters dvd with the gatenetting in ? or has a copy for sale ?
  3. I dont expect any one to do any thing. But a lot of dogs are going to be put down and the people that have caused this need it pointing out and the public. Christ you could even do some sort of media thing of some poor old hound all loveable being marched into a vets and then buried. Could be done all respectful like. Its just heart breaking all round. Like charts said hopefully a lot can nip over the boarder or sort some thing fingers crossed .
  4. Think the vote was like 70/30 but I dont get in it this day of supposed equality how a minority can be stopped doing some thing that causing no harm just because some gits dont like it. Them poor hounds should be put down and dumped in big heap stick that on your social media for the tree huggers they caused this no one else. Not sure how well a fox hound would take to rehoming. You wouldn't be letting it off any time soon. Poor old dogs
  5. So ridiculous that a we are put in a position where you have to ask a question like that. What a shambles
  6. Sure I read there guts are all ways empty as they shite all the time lol.
  7. Technically you could keep your dog on a lead let it mark up and crack on with nets and not break any laws. Depends how far they go to get people. Surely they can't do you for being equipped. If your then driving home with your rabbits dog and ferrets having not broke any laws you would imagine you should be good. But would that be the case !
  8. When I pushed the point Hello Terry, You are not allowed to use Lurchers (or similar) to kill rabbits any longer. You may only use up to 2 dogs to flush rabbits out from cover to then shoot them. Time of day/night doesn’t impact this. I have been travelling down south which is why the response wasn’t immediate. Hope this helps, Cameron So yea game over
  9. I asked BASC scotland can we still ferret with one lurcher and the reply was Yes. Section 6 of the bill creates an exception for game shooting, where it is still legal to hunt wild mammals provided that no more than 2 dogs are used. There are other conditions in section 6 so I have included a link to the bill for your convenience. Hopefully this answers your question but if you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact me. https://www.parliament.scot/-/media/files/legislation/bills/s6-bills/hunting-with-dogs-scotland-bill/stage-3/bill-as-passed.pdf
  10. The laws are made by people who simply don't understand. That silly cow that that seemed to play the main part. If you asked her whats a marking dog she wouldn't have a clue. Whats a squatter. Whos Brian Plummer. Sorry couldn't resist. Infact lurchers and ferrets hardly came on there radar. Just caught in the cross fire
  11. I will email basc seeing as I pay the buggers
  12. Cheers thanks for that. It sounds like the general licence type thing we have to use to shoot a bloody pigeon
  13. I quite simply don't under stand it but does this not say no hunting with dogs 1 Offence of hunting a wild mammal using a dog (1) A person commits an offence if— (a) the person hunts a wild mammal using a dog, and 10 (b) none of the exceptions in sections 3, 5, 6, 6A, 6B or 7 apply.
  14. So one or two lurchers its business as normal ?
  15. It is a 100% going to pass and the gundog folks are scrambling to hold onto what they can but I suspect lurchermen won't even be mentioned
  16. It seems focused on fox hunting and a two dog limit. So are they sneaking rabbits in too. Does this mean one dog is fine ? All very unclear so far
  17. How ever it ends it will be licence this licence that and a ton of paper work. Joe bloggs who wants to pop out for hour with his ferret and lurcher has no chance
  18. Technically you could just use a dog for marking and tie it up. Try explaining the workings of a marking dog to old bill though Also bet the poor old fox hounds are sweating now. Most of them will be toast wheres you bloody animal welfare there
  19. Just sickening. I am in Wales but you just know its coming. What on earth are folks going to do. I assume your up North Details of the act are here. As you said being handled today Stage 3 WWW.PARLIAMENT.SCOT
  20. If it does happen in Scotland then technically from a ferreting point of view you still use a marking dog but not let it chase ? Try policing that one. Luckily Scotland is a big place
  21. The rivers and streams around me are decimated compared to what they used to be. Not sure if its the run off from farms which are more intensive now a days with one great big farm that used to be 4 smaller ones or not. After a good rain the banks would be lined with anglers as a kid. You would hear people yelling all along the bank as they landed good fish. Rare to see an angler on the banks now most have given up. Little brooks in winter it was quite common to spot lovely fish that had pushed up into streams you could step across. Not now
