  2. Every thing is just getting so much harder now a days
  3. How good are these water filters out of interest can you safely drink out of any stream ? I remember drinking out of a cattle trough as a kid which werent my best idea. Could hardly walk for a week sick as pig. Least I assumed it was the water. Used to get gasping when we were out ferreting all day
  4. I often read through old posts on thepoacher.**"£$%^&*( ten years ago the content on all the forums was more to the point and hunting orientated. Now a days there is a lot more rubbish posted but I don't have to read it so just skip to any thing that interests me. As far as mods go they should work behind the scenes and just tidy up any threads and basically keep there heads down in my opinion
  5. I would go for the bottom one off fb they get good reviews and give a warranty. Tempted my self some time in future
  6. Some terriers are level headed and some are just not. I had a cracking terrier that was a super ferreting dog but many a ferreting trip turned into some thing else which was some's times good and some times not. I made a point of when he hit a line running like hell to keep him in site if we were on new ground. If I new the ground and new what what was coming up i used to get the sod back on a lead. One trick I had up my sleeve was if I shouted rabbit he would come running. I saved that for emergencies or if I actually saw a rabbit. By the sound of it yours is off on a line or not though. I gu

  10. As its only a chain no harm in trying it out
  11. I see these mushroom posts and think I would love to do that. Remember as a kid the fields were packed with field mushrooms and never though twice about picking carrier bags at a time. I think as far as id went just sniffed the odd one and that was it. I daren't even pick them now a days
  12. I remember as a kid the lady across the road lived in a caravan by the stream. She used to keep pigeons and chickens. I used to trap plenty but it was only matter of time before you would see her in tears in the morning after a mink had hit the place. They seemed very territorial and one mink seemed to patrol up and down a few miles of the stream. So when you saw tracks you new was only matter of time before it passed again. I can't imagine 25000 + plus swarming over the country
  13. Was it not shot to take down a Russian missile hence why it was going all over the shop. Would thought Ukrain would just put there hands up. After all the help they have had a bit of honesty wouldn't hurt and accidents happen
  14. That is a lot of mink they really must be thick
  15. I got you ross I know that feeling
  16. Excellent Ross fair play. Out of interest why the late start though has she shown no interest up until now? Not that it matters its all the more sweeter.
  17. Nothing on news about that ? ah yes there is ========== 19:16 US intelligence source reported Poland missile strike - AP The Associated Press news agency says a senior US intelligence official was the source for the report about missiles hitting a Polish farm, without naming the official. Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller did not immediately confirm the report, AP says. The Pentagon has said it cannot corroborate the report, Reuters news agency says. The Polish meeting is scheduled for 20:00 GMT.

  19. Disgusting just on news the schools can't afford to heat the place and in 5 years there stuffed and the people cycling around london in there own time feeding the homeless
  20. That chap downunder who traps the wild dogs goes to great effort to show the paw of trapped animals and how little damage there is if any. Not sure if wild dogs struggle less or what but he does make the use of foothold traps look very humane and he dispatches from a distance with his rifle
