At last i finally have my new pup, meet Bracken. shes 8 weeks tomorrow and is a 1/4 beddlington 3/4 whippet. shes going to mainly be a companion but will be taking her ferreting so hope she will mark the burrows and chase the odd rabbit that we miss. not sur about lamping yet but will see how we go.

Some great stories there lads. I started in my twenties when I shareda house with a couple of mates that went ferreting. I gave it up when I got married but divorced a couple of years back. Wanted to do something when I started to live on my own so I joined the local scout group as a leader and found out the other leader was into rabbit shooting so I got invited out with him and decided to get some ferrets to show him what fun it is. just get in touch with the scout association they will point you in the right direction. did one myself years ago, think it was done by the small bore rifle association.
