  1. Have you winessed it, or are you just going by propaganda distributed by the organisations you have mentioned? Trying to act pompous and belittle members only makes you appear foolish and suspect. So as i have mentioned, have you seen it in person? And do you think only riflemen have the rights to take deer? I will say that in this country its now a historical thing for me, BUT i do like your united attitude, and a hint of love for the LACS......... Simon I have personal witnessed the suffering caused to deer by coursing and I am not alone in that regard. No I'm not going by the
  2. I think you may need to reconsider your conclusions. Once you've reviewed the logic. For instance suffering is only caused by injury.......really? The clean, swift, ethical killing of deer requires that you use bipod, cammo gear and every other accesory on the market thus reducing our carbon footprint, and thus saving our plannet........... how do you come to that conclusion? I'm not being pedantic but by saying "only thing i know is ive never injured anything with a dog", indicates only one of two things. Like the hunter who says he never misses a shot. He's either not done very much shooti
  3. You guess right. Just as I won't be buying publications on Halal sheep slaughter, Chinese live animal skinning for the fur trade. Subject to such publications existing in the first place of course.
  4. Given its literal meaning in the context in which it was used Progress: : gradual betterment; especially : the progressive development of humankind. Makes your claim at its very least invalid. But I accept that a small minority might see it that way. Especially when their activities are restricted and/or judged to be cruel, unjustifiable, outmoded, at odds with the majority concensus, deemed unethical or banned, made illegal by the democratic process of political government or a combination of. I'm sure there were those who thought the same about progress when women gained
  5. deer were taken with dogs along time before guns were invented infact it was the sport of kings leaving the pesants to use other methods. Ah, the old historical justification get out of gaol debate. Before the invention of the wheel we all had to walk everywhere unless you were rich enough to own slaves to carry you. Perhaps you would like to see the return of slavery too? Prior to the1802 and 1819 Factory Acts children as young as 4 years old where made to work in mines and factories and young girls under the age of 10 were forced into prostitution. Such forced labour and pers
  6. Dave Unfortunately air rifles have come under serious criticism over the last 10 years. Due to the misuse by cruel and idiotic users. Just as idiotic breaches of the Hunting Act reflect badly on all legitimate country sports participants. So does the indiscriminate use of air rifles place all shooters in a bad light in the eyes of the press and the voting public. Eduction rather than legislation is the key to finding a solution. Unfortunately legislation is the prefered choice of the politicians and as with the Hunting Act its one that we won't be able to avoid.
  7. Unfortunately for the deer we all know that's simply not true., and is one of the main reasons why it was made illegal by the Hunting Act 2004. You've got to hand it to those LACS campaigners. They get things right occasionally. Still never mind aye!
  8. James I'd have to question the age placed on your buck by the taxidermist. By the age of 5 that buck would begin to show definite signs of territorial fights with other bucks, torn ears and facial and neck scaring. I can't see any evidence of any from your photo. Muntjac bucks are aggressive creatures, especially where competition for territory and does is concerned. They are also difficult to age simply from examination of teeth wear. An un-exact science in any deer species once they have all erupted let alone Muntjac. Enjoy him on your wall. I'm sure his age is irrelevant in your ap
  9. Jimmy Glad to see you have a good grasp of the true situation and appreciate the type of person responsible. There are many feeling nauseated right now.
  10. Its not just the air rifle numpties that fail in the quarry respect stakes. There are those that will still actively seek to course deer.
  11. Stuart You are as always absolutely correct. Deliberate ignorance as so often demonstrated by the boards resident oaf. Is best dealt with by using following that sound advice. Don't feed the Troll. As already stated on the video thread where this tale of woe has also been discussed. " That one individual now scrambles to try save what little face he mistakenly thinks he has left is truly pitiful to watch. But entertaining in a "just desserts" kind of way." I think there will be plenty of scrambling over the next few days, week, months by our boorish troll. As there is a large
  12. Well thrashed curs have a habit of slinking off in such a manner.
  13. Well done Roger. The truth will out................... Only fools continually plead their innocence against such over whelming evidence of their deplorable and despicable actions. That one individual now scrambles to try save what little face he mistakenly thinks he has left is truly pitiful to watch. But entertaining in a "just desserts" kind of way. Being made to look criminally idiotic, as well as being left red faced as well as red handed is bound to smart a great deal and the long lingering humiliation will leave more of a scar than any court enforced compensation payment
