Me and a pal bought 100 gamebore mammoth 3 1/2" 42g no 3's as they were going cheap. Would they be too much for duck on the marsh as I don't want to use them for geese on the foreshore?

I'm looking for some budget cartridges for clay and pigeon shooting and have come across Cheddite Universal Trap cartridges at malmo guns and was wondering if anyone had tried them yet and the verdict on them.

Hi guys. This may be a stupid question but here goes..... Is it easier to gain a permission for corvids than pigeon? There are quite a few permissions around my area but there are also a lot of people on the permissions already and they seem to only go after pigeon so was wondering if I would stand a better chance if I my main target was the crow family? I would obviously have a pop at pigeon aswell for the oven but I find crow shooting alot more satisfying and challenging. regards Steve

Hi everyone. Got a laurona magnum o/u a couple of weeks back for a bargain. Only problem with it is the bluing has faded on it in a lot of places. I came across perma blue on a few websites with mixed reviews. I was thinking of doing a full reblue of the gun with this but wanted to know if anyone has used this and whet results they got with it. I know it won't look the mutts nuts but will it do a good enough job to keep rust at bay? Cheers

How much lead for this pheasant ?
potshot86 replied to welshboy454's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
Well thats one way to get a pheasant lol. -
I got a baikal MP-153. Not the pettiest of guns and quite heavy but its never failed me. Not one jam or misfire, very sturdy and pointable. Its handled anything between 1oz 7 1/2 shot up to 2oz BBs. Even fired 2 1/2" clear pigeons through it no probs. Dont need any other gun. Good all rounder really. Got mine for £500 but im sure you could find one for less.

Thanks for the advice remi i'll keep at it, got the wigeon and teal call ok its the mallard call im more interested in getting right. Just can't seem to find any info or help on how to use it but i'll definately give your method a try and see how it goes. Never know i might get them closer than 100 yards in the future LOL.

Hi everyone. Got this call off my parents for my birthday a couple of months ago. It say on the packet "The flexible body allows callers to squeeze the end and change tones to produce the natural sounds of multiple Pintails, Widgeon, Teal, Mallard, Drake, Quail, and Hawks." So far I have managed to resemble what could be a wigeon but when I try and make any other calls......nothing even close to anything its suppose to. Anyway just wondering if anyone has had one of these and had any luck or should I just give up with it?

Hi everyone. Managed to bag my first pheasant yesterday, got it home and hung it up ready to be plucked and cleaned this tuesday. I have just checked up on it and have found mites on its neck. Will these taint the meat or will it still be ok to eat? Don't want to have to throw my first pheasant away,
