To be honest i had no reason to question a FEO of 30 years experience. I wouldnt personally do it cos i have no where else to store guns or parts except the cabinet. I was just passing on what i had been told. So how does the sit with FAC holders who store the bolt of a rifle seperatley???
-
My feo said i can keep the barrels seperate. He said its only the action that needs to be secured. It would also mean anyone going into cabinet by fiar means or foul would not have a complete shotgun.

Roy Brown replied to Roy Brown's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
What the f**k did you expect pal....."Oh Davie fae The Ridley shoot, aye av got his number on f*****g speed dial here al just phone him and tell him your coming over so dont f*****g shoot!!!" If you walk towards them and show yourself quite clearly i'm sure you'll be able to get a word in without shooting you. Thats probably the most sensible comment!! yes i was hoping that someone would know or maybe a friend of a friend not really too much of an asumpiton is it?? being as i posted it on a shooting forum under a topic entitled Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting??? -

No I asked if anyone knew who they were. I have tried everything else. Driven Miles looking for where they park there cars, cant find em. Tried all the local pubs no joy there. as for waiting for them to finish how can i be sure someone isnt going to fire a last minute shot!!! The other way round apart form in front of the guns is miles so will probably have gone by the time i get there!! Again its another case of no it all pricks who dont have anything helpful to say sticking there noses in!!! -

Hi does anybody shoot or know anybody that shoots in the Ridley / Ash area in North Kent??? I often see some guys shooting Pheasant in the fields opposite where i live and would like to make contact with them. I have thought of approaching them whilst they are shooting but from where i live this would mean wandering in front of the guns!!!! Not a healthy hobby at the best of times!!! So if anyone can help point me in the right direction i would be very grateful. :signthankspin:

I dont know if this issue has been rasied on here recently but saw this on defras website this morning. http://www.defra.gov.uk/rural/countryside/hunting/ It might be worth a letter / e-mail to your local mp to urge to get the issue rasied in parliement as promised.

I am in new Ash Green just up by Brands Hatch. Yep theres plenty of places round our way for clay pigeon which is what i intend to do to get me eye in. Your Location says Aylesford which is about 10-15 mins from me. My Brother in law lives down there. kent wildfowlers does look really good but i think you need to be mates with someone who already shoots with them. Do you have any permissions down your way for Air rifle??

Hello everybody, I thought i would sign up as i am considering going for my shotgun cert. However i want to find out about shooting opportunities in my area (North Kent) before i go to all the trouble of buy gun cabinets etc only to find that all thats avaliable is clay pigeon, not that theres anything wrong with that but i just want a bit more. rough shooting, pigeon etc. After a quick browse round these forums it seems the place to be for sensible advice. I look forward to reading more and hopefully contributing when i have some experience and knowledge to share. I have owned several
