  1. I must admit i am in a similar situation, i fancy a multi-shot ultra for a bit of ratting (inside a barn packed with rubbish) i was thinking it would shoulder quickly. i have an AA 410K but i don't know the difference in length. Not of much help Scott but just to let you know you aren't on your own mate.
  2. What a great read mate, it could have been straight out of a magazine. enjoyed seeing the photographs aswell. Good luck with getting perm' on the other farms. Thanks
  3. Thats a tiny target mate from 25 yards never mind 50 yards!! I have got a massive inferiority complex with my ability since I joined this site. Great photo's too. Neil
  4. That is a damn good shot ftm, at an upward angle aswell (I personally find those the hardest of shots) The stoat is always a pleasure to see, although they arn`t the rarest of animals I don`t seem to know as much about them as I probably should, I have never seen the stoat in it`s ermine coat though so that`s a good spot.
  5. Hi Oman, I really like those two sticks, the joints are great and I like the Buffalo horn/white bone spacers used together. What timber did you carve the duck and dog out of? and are they on Hazel shafts? Well Done, Two fine examples. Neil.
  6. Thats amazing, thanks alot for your advice. I knew you would'nt let me down. I will keep you up to date with my progress. Neil.
  7. I'm looking for some help and I hope you're the guys to give me some advice! I have got to control some magpies on my brother's property, he likes to feed and see the songbirds but recently there have been none to be seen thanks to the "maggies" also they are ripping my young niece's trampoline to pieces (why I don't know) I am an experienced shot and use an Air Arms S410k, although I use it for rabbits and rats usually. The advice I need is how to get the birds into position where I want them, I hear eggs will tempt them in as well as a torn bin bag but none of these are normally on this l
  8. Well done matey, That's a good mornings work! Never had much look with the corvids ( I think they are too bright for me)
  9. Hiya Fella, I'm a newbie myself but have been loving my time on this site already. I'm sure you will have a great time on here. Welcome Neil
  10. There are the rarer 'Sussex spaniel' and the 'Field spaniel' that are a solid Brown colour, but I wouldn't know who or where to start getting hold of one. I haven't heard of anyone working them so I wouldn't know what they are like.
  11. Never tasted hare but to be honest i have seen some cracking recipes. Would love to know how you cooked it, and how many meals it made. Neil.
  12. I must admit that the opinel is an excellent range of knives, personally i like the carbon steel not the stainless version as it takes a better edge I.M.H.O. Although i did snap the tip off one when i threw it in the ground... You will not be dissapointed with your purchase.
  13. I have had good service from " Hardys" on Ecclesall rd in Sheffield.
  14. I couldn't fault the s200, although the shots per charge isn't massive there will be more than enough for an average hunting foray (including zeroing). From what I remember it is a very light gun so you could carry it around all day. I have the s410k and cannot fault ANYTHING with this gun. Hope this helps.
