  1. I have zero experience of lion hunting, so I'm obviously just talking out of my arse (like everyone else who's never hunted a big cat)... But one would have thought that an aggressive dog, especially a 'pitbull on roids' would be the first thing to die on a lion hunt! Bay dogs are cowards for a reason A coward that stays... what a combination lol
  2. What does SACS stand for then? Scots Against Cruel Sports?
  3. Bloody hell As some of the others have said, I sat here a while just thinking what to say. Truth is there's nowt you CAN say RIP little man, our thoughts are with your family
  4. Glad you agree with me (see post #9)
  5. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I don't understand why it took an 'expose' documentary to get the ArsePCA, BBC, KC etc into action. Surely they all knew the score before some tabloid docu was aired? Just more huff, puff and posturing if you ask me. Still if it gets some end results (less messed up pedigree breeds), that's something. Still, let's see just exactly what 'improvements' they come up with first. If they're decided with anything like the reasoning for the monstrosities occurring in the first place (short nose and heavy wrinkles to drain the bull's blood, anyon
  6. Varmint Al has tons of (artificial) calls he uses for Coyotes. They're on his site, and you can download them for free from HERE. Scroll about 3/4 the way to the bottom for a full list, then right click and hit Save As or Save To. Dunno if that's what you're after though? They drive my terrier berserk
  7. That email is listed offering (unlawful) No-CD cracks for The Sims PC game on a forum too.... Seen HERE. You can't kill the poor widdle wabbits, but s/he (? - girly email address, posting as HOLLYbabe on the forum, but a bloke's pic on facebook?) can offer unlawful warez cracks online? Seems to like his/her hypocrisy?
  8. My bitch had her eye cut like that by a cat, which she'd stormed in to when she was 12 weeks old. The vet had a look, said "Hmm well she could go blind, or not. Just have to see." He gave me a bottle of human eye drops and a bill for £75 I saw the drops in Boots later that day, for £2. The invoice from the vets said £9 plus £2.50 dispensing fee  I wouldn't mind but it wasn't even an animal version of the product - the box still had the (human) patient advice leaflet warning not to use if pregnant or breastfeeding, etc etc. I asked what justified £75, when all I r
  9. Guilty as charged and then some, I'm afraid, A BTW, them collars you brought to us at (Tabley or Arley? Always mix the buggers up lol) are doing great as well mate. They've been chewed, battered, rolled in shit, washed and dried and god knows what else, and they still come up like new every time
  10. No, you don't change the time itself. I've just double checked on an XP box - you need to click CUSTOMISE before you get the options box I was talking about. But then if you've found the "Time" tab you've obviously worked that one out anyway Here's a screenshot of what to do. Change the Time Format to (without the quotes): "h:mm:ss tt" As in this screenshot I just grabbed for you... The part you need to change is shown highlighted in blue
  11. I'm using Fedora 10 (Linux) at the moment, so I'll have to go from memory. If you hit any hurdles, it should be pretty easy to work out what/where I mean even if you're totally new to Windows... if not just post back and I'll fire up an XP box and grab you some screenshots etc. 1) Click the Start button. 2) Click Control Panel (on the right side of the menu). If there is no Control Panel entry, go back to the Desktop (i.e. close the Start menu) and double click My Computer. Then click the Control Panel link in the window/box that pops up. 3) Once in the Control Panel, double click Regi
  12. It IS possible, you just didn't have quite the correct 'code' for the Regional settings. In that 'Time' settings tab (under Regional Language Settings in Control Panel in XP), change whatever's listed in the time format box to: h:mm:ss tt Which will give you h (12 hour format hour):(minutes past/to the hour):seconds past the minute: am/pm Done
  13. Quite the opposite. A barrel chest is massively inferior to a deep, elliptical chest with well sprung ribs. Think of the heart and lungs as bellows stoking a fire... A barrel shaped chest is, by definition, already "inflated" (rounded) in shape and thus has far less room for expansion and contraction (less air in and out at each 'stroke') than does a well sprung elliptical one. The only dogs I've seen with barrel chests are show Staffords, English Bulldogs and 'granny Russells' Greyhounds, well bred APBTs etc on the other hand, all have long, deep elliptical chests to allow for the al
  14. That was a cracking read mate; a very interesting tome from times gone by. Thanks for the link
  15. Just checked ebay, I was gonna buy myself an early xmas pressie... Can't find it? Have all the auctions ended? If so what's the way to order? Cheers
  16. LOL No worries mate; I'll probably be grabbing a copy myself as an early xmas pressie
  17. HERE it is mate. It was only on page 2 of the terrier section; how hard did you look? :11:
  18. Do yourself a favour lad, and quit before it's too late.
  19. Spot on mate Even I remember when good terrier pups were around the £50 mark. All of a sudden, if it's not selling at £500 to £2,000 it's a "bag of *****"?! Too many rosette hunters and chav-tastic puppy mills spoiling things if you ask me. Then again for those genuine working dog lads it's not hard to know who has a well bred litter on the ground, and a pup for a few pints and a day out etc. Leave the messers to it.
  20. All smoke is bad for you, as the act of burning itself releases carbon monoxide and all sorts of nasty tars. Commercially manufactured cigarettes ARE the worst of the lot though, imho. The way the tobacco is grown and cured, and the extra additives, provide an end product containing cyanide, formaldehyde, saltpetre and all sorts of muck. They are also RADIOACTIVE due to the types of fertilisers used, and in fact some sources state smoking 'normal' cigs equates to around 22,000 (yes 22 THOUSAND) chest x-rays a year. And folks wonder why they give you cancer? If you must smoke, you can
