    Going to bring my ess pup on for next shooting season....also looking for another runner.......plenty on....we will be still hitting the permissions when we can to keep on top of things ......................................pigeons on a balmy summer afternoons ploughing into stubble........thats always a highlight of the summer for me

    saw a pair of red backed shrikes on one permission yesturday....................very rare.....didnt tell anyone where though otherwise it would be full of anoracks in no time

    I suppose you could say the you go fishing to catch fish....................its just me...Im a funny fecker .......I just dont like crowds........and dont like yawping tiddler bashing 'fair weather noddy fishermen'....or owt commercial........ to me a 2 pound roach from an old drain or gravel pit is worth a million 20lb carp......also don't like fishing with someone sat on me lap I think there's much more skill needed in course fishing........... si- thee at the beach .........................light the blue paper.....................and wait for the bang

    Me to!!!!! I prefer course fishing mind....and me piking, and still have my course tackle. I fancied the idea of this specimen carp angling.......getting set up in the bivvy and smashing into a case of woodpecker and all day breakfast in a tin for 2 days at a time...................but just dont have the time what with the nippers n all. Not only that, I dont like fishing 'stew ponds' brimming with cornish pasties........................... .

    Yeh................I know what you mean......I cocked up on that and had to raise the side nearest the low wall and bore 4 - 5 hole through the wall at groud level to allow for the water and muck to run freely out into the sunken flower bed!!!!!!....................before that there was water disinfectant and terds swilling about with no where to go!! :sick: Going to put a stillsaw through the garage wall inside the run @ week end and let the dog have the run of there to, as its empty.....................looking for another young lurcher to kennel with him for company!...................g

    I have one for sale.....................you will have to get a new barrel from sa as some t**t forgot there was no anti bear trap on these........ when he caught the trigger whilst cocked it snapped shut........the barrel is slightly out now..not that you can tell, but zeroing it is hopeless...a gun smith could bang a new barrel on with ease.................. shame really its only 6 months old and has had no work at all...... if your interested...make me an offer

    It was from a company trading in the back of CountryMans Weekly......I'll dig it out and pm you mate...they're alot more spacious than most....You may not see from the photo but its line also with mesh, had has a thick cover that drops over it to darken it off..also there are pockets and so on at the side..all in all a good buy!

    Just a couple of pics of tonight quick lamping session...........very still and warm night, so not much about, and what was out winded us and was gone had 4 slips for 4 rabbits in and hour and half................dog did very well with some very awkward runs and moved well for a big lad...... got red in the lamp but he made good his escape...................for the second week running .....fair play to old charlie.... .....................chuffed as punch

    Usually out at least 2-4 hours...and work quickly beween permissions............on average we get 10 -20 slips and usual nail anywhere between 5 and 15 depending on the ground.
