    what was in their crops bud??...................I am finding that on my pigeon permissions th bluies are favouring set aside grass fields rather than OSR or winter wheat......when they start drilling , we may get a bit more luck, but notibly the warmer winters abundance of beechmast, acorns and OSR has really put the dampers on what used to be some very good winter sport. .............better luck on the stubble later on me thinks goods pics by the way............get them breast wanged in a frying pan.....proper butter, garlic salt, black pepper with a chopped onion.......mmmmmmmmmm

    Had a decent year.......more productive with the dog and lamp than ferrets...........on the rough stuff struggled to ferret as good as other years as the lack of frost and cold snaps has kept the greenery in place for most of the year.......................stopped ferreting in Feb.....too many young uns......had some nightmare lay ups back end..........one fecker was eight foot under a road.....so we had to sit it out. Would have had a lot more but CORUS have changed their Health & Saftey proccedures so our ferreting permit was not renewed this year.....................cracking sport o

    I used to shoot my uncles no-3 as a kid at starlings.......it wa a geat little gun to practice on with a bolt action....................in those days I was convinced it would drop a running deer at 2 miles away though!!

    My cousins dog did it when he was a pup.....and coursed a hare that was put up accidently iin a field behind his house................the young dog seemed to fine but now at 2 yeras old His stamina is up and down like a yo yo...one week he'g blowing out his ass after 4 runs...... rasping slightly whilst recovering from a run........................ others times he works well with no problems......... My cousin thinks it did permenant damage to the young dogs lungs .................

    we used to shift them from an old stately manor at night.....once roosted they didnt seem to budge a great deal..........then again they were fantails that had crossed with ferals.............they were roosting on chimney pots..window ledges and in the castated turrets........easy work with a lamp and airgun!

    With room for one more, and having missed out on one at the weekend, I couldnt resist filling the gap with this little beauty, I picked up yesturday....my wife named her lady.........shes know 8 weeks old. here she is..................looking forward to a summers bonding and basic training. father is a cousing greyhound....mother a 3/8 5/8 grey bull x.......should make around 24-25"....and a welcome new member to the team here she is
