  1. Here's the wee-man. 9 weeks old. First Patterdale I've ever owned. and yes.....He's a little fecker!
  2. yes..............using phosphine ( for commercial rabbit control) Not in the traditional sense of smoking though! Needs to be done by 2 VMC trained people, using full respiratory gear and ppe. I much prefer traditional methods of controlling scutts though
  3. grand job budd....are you going to put a run on it?
  4. ............should do o.k...try popping it in the Terrier section . You may get a few more replys bud.
  5. had the same with a greyhound a few years back........... I think they call it getting 'bound up' when there is a build up of lactic acid..........someone told me to feed them a mars bar or something sweet to bring up the blood sugar levels....dont quote me though
  6. nice one Boner........... has it got a sub-whoofer..........lol. Looks like a proper Diddies bus....lol
  7. ....looks well. not sure if the hunters and sky blue shorts are a good look though............ i think most would give you a wide berth if they you dressed like that
  8. not for me chef........... locked on, and in unfamiliar territory can lurcher can easily come a cropper in heavy woodland.
  9. its just a possession / dominance problem mate, basically I would think she just dosnt want to yield while the other mutts are about incase they take it from her....its her prize and she wants it!! Don't think other than running solo, that there's a great deal yo can do about it. These sort of problems are usually quite deep rooted and difficult to shift.
  10. You must have seen the stories in the daily rag about these massive rats in Lincoln and Bradford. What do you think??
  11. Id be more concerned about giving a pup a possession problem, running rabbits with another dog. If it misses and they get into tug of war with it, you've knackered the job. Also a seasoned dog is bound to catch it before a sapling.....and fustration also creates all manner of mister meaners that are hard to correct. Green rabbits ant that hard to catch......doubling up on em is a one way ticket to the dogs home
  12. Mixy isnt caused by population...but clearly a heavily populated area will have more casualties........Its a man made virus pass on by fleas. And during this time of year around harvest time, it rears its ugly head, and spreads like wild fire!
  13. Hi Busher.....Ive only got a few photos of those bitches we got out of Dons litter related to Sky.. Here they are. I'l try and get some more off my buddy and get them across to you...Thanks for the info
  14. I don't suppose this dog is affiliated with a chap for Tyndsley called 'Mr. Smith' is it....I seem to recall seeing it a photo in the past once emailed to me by him
  15. My post wasn't aim directly at you But putting pictures like the first one up you must feel like you have something to prove .. be wise to take it down .. I put the first photo up.............and i've nothing to prove at all....its not even mine as stated Also I run a collie/grey on scutts only........I've no need for a bull cross for the work I do........... but I do appreciate that they have their place.............. There are advocates for all varieties, but it seems all too easy to tar everyone with the same brush.
  16. .............just shy of 23" tts mate
  17. Granted............BUT HE'S ASKING ABOUT WOKING BULL X'S AND THEIR PERCENTAGES. We dont need to state the obvious in order to 'curry favour' with all the 'experts' on here
  18. depends of the breed + what work they are bred for, a lot of terriers bred for hard graft below ground dont make good pets, there is probably the occasional exception to this however. my "pet" parson russel bitch has however turned into a good bushing terrier and only started hunting at the grand old age of 6 and a half, tbh, i didnt think she had it in her, shes 8 now and very handy when i go ferreting with the lurcher completely agree
  19. take em out together,no problem...... dot run em at the same time though...or you'll end up with dogs with possession problems which will be reluctant to yeild once they've caught..........last thing you want is to be running around a field after your dog has caught...... cos it wont let you near it!!!!
  20. This little minshaw bitch, owned by my cousin has a splash of bull in her....(not sure of the exact percentage though)but she has constantly proved herself on everything single handed over the last 3-4 years...........undoubtably one of the best grafters I've ever seen..or perhaps likely to see. She is certainly impressive........Shame I cant take credit for her!
  21. I thought I was looking at 60 dabs or more, and was suprised to find one at £25 on the tinterweb.......I'l try the above out though first....cheers
