  5. have you ran the dog with another???......or is it in 'new' proximity to a new dog?? sounds very much like a possession related problem......and the psycology behind 'why she dosn't want to give the catch up'.... Its easy to say go back to basics.........but there there easily could be an underlaying issue that needs looking at...

  14. 1. one of the main things is to position you and your dog in between where it is, and where you anticipate it will run to for cover. a day time wander will allow you reccy this. 2. avoid still full moons. windy drizzly nigths are the best. 3. have you route pre planned, and planned according to wind direction, as you need to be down wind of your quarry. 4. dont flash you lamp around like a lunatic.....conserve batterery life, quick scans and off. 5. Stangely looking and observing are 2 very different things........a suatter in in short grass is easy missed...look for th

  19. thanks .........we took the 2 experienced dogs with us to show the young un the ropes.... She nearly nailed the ferret a couple of times....which brought me out in a sweat .......but she's got learn somehow hasn't she? The other dogs are strangley big powerfull bull x's.......but are really tuned on marking, and being stealthy around a burry...they know where that ferret is at all times and know instinctively when a bolt is going to occur.... A pleasure to watch..........
  20. best of luck mate....they do seem very racey for a first cross......and I like the fact that you've had the ballacks to know exactly what you want......and have got on all out to get it................knwoing that it may or may not work. With your sensible outlook and foresyth, Im sure you'll get what you want it the end...and I hope you do

I hope this dosn't knock you off the sport.............there will be other nights and other dogs..... In the meantime if you ever want a bit a sport.....and can't get out...................then let us now...there's always a spare seat in the cabby mate RIP to the dog.......................and hope you bounce back from this tragedy soon
