Im not a moth geek LOL...but used to collect the old catapillars as a kid......its all about finding the catapillars at the right time of year! round about now they are almost be at their biggest...and come september they make their way down the ground to pupaete......the poplar hawk moth is quite a common one ..and the cattapillars are enormous...........any school with poplar trees around them will hold hundreds....but you'll not see them until they head for earth!!!!...tell the bairnes to keep a look o

  11. i know what ye mean mate... mines a track dog and she is comin on nicely now but her retrievin and her jumping is non existant.. her running style is exciting or at least i find it so but she over runs a hell of alot... if your gettin an ex track dog then you will probably have to put up with alot of hardships at the start... mine used to run for the horizon as soon as i took my hand off her but i invested in a shock collar and it made miracles happen sounds like my greyhound your talking about... :11: I've said it before........................that is one beautiful looking

  15. Probably been covered many times before, but anyway...Im contemplating rehoming an ex racing greyhound thats been in a domestic enviroment for 9 months now.......hes a big steady boy of 3 and Im considering trying to do a bit of work with him..... I've read up on his form..and although not brilliant, he had a higher than average life on the tracks and was rehomed to a friend of the breeder.........not due to injury. Does anyone use a grey on the lamp.....or has anyone reholmed an ex racer thats made a good grafter? Any tips on settling such an animal to the hunting life would be apprec

Could I ask why you bred this cross?..............I can probably see them making a half decent bushing dog but doubt they would would have the legs for anything other than a snatch and grab. Good on you for shifting 5 already, and perhaps the Dam and sire are exclent in their own respective field of work.......just cant see how this would work. was this an accidental mating? good look shifting the rest
