  1. get out and knock door fella.......eventually you will be rewarded ;-)
  2. what kind of trap is that bud?...shame you're not local, as I would have had those off you for the young patterdale Im bringing on to play with
  3. ...........and a caravan for me ma - and a new pair of shews
  4. as, mentioned keep laying down the bait and have a good look for where they may be coming in. 6mil or the thickness of a bik biro is all they need to get in so don't overlook anything. Its likely that they are either coming up the cavity in the wall and into the attic, or coming in from next door. When baiting put little trays all over, as mice feed sporadically moving from one to another to another, rather than feeding from one source. its the repeated takes of bait that kills them eventually over a number of days...... not one lethal dose ;-)
  5. why the big flap - is just a mere observation. Why wet you pants because someone thought the pup look flat in the face like a border. .....HANG THE BAST&RD!!!!!!!!!
  6. a bit harsh I recon - I can see where he's coming from nice first post from another 'self proclaimed expert'
  7. Very nice mate...Im just waiting for all the 'do-gooding' 'law bashing', 'know it all' knob sacks to start quoting the law about the use home made traps
  8. Cheers Jake - The wee man loves dogs and hunting as much as me, and he's only 6..... The dogs turned out a cracker, and everything I'm after in a dog..........just wish I could stop him crunching my chickens... ;-)
  9. Jake - only just managed to get a few photos uploaded bud, so here's a couple for you from a day or so ago ;-)
  10. Substantial experience of birds of prey will be an advantage............ Alot of this kind of work comes from word of mouth, and good relationships with the multi nationals.;-) from my understanding BCPA level 2 is an advantage when touting for work for not a legal requirement........
  11. My apologies - I forget to mention that I work in professional pest control, and am suitable qualified to use the product.
  12. peanut butter...............also rats are neophobic (fear of new things)..........put in a box with hole either side and place in against a wall ( as they very seldom run in the open if they can help it..... thjey are smarter than you think though...Ive been trying to sort one in an attic - 6 weeks later, I've only just managed to get takes of bait. Why not find the burrows and bait them?
  13. I just googled diagrain one shot and didnt find anything. Where would I find it? Has anyone used strikeback insect killing fogger? They are about 4 quid each, are they any good? my mistake - slight type error...... its spelt Digrain one shot not 'diagrain'
  14. there is a product you can buy called diagrain one shot. It has a release value that allows a slow release that take about 90 seconds. There's enough in a can to do between 30 and 50 m2 i think. I have used it for swarms of cluster fly, and large wasp nests in loft spaces. Excellent stuff. Cover water tanks and check for bats before use.... you need to let it go, get our p.d.q and close the hatch.
  15. looks like a useful piece of kit. Now my question is........... Does anyone actively 'police' these acts, orders and regulations hereby quoted above I've never heard of any being prosecuted for not using an 'approved trap', but then again I havent looked for any case law to support this
  16. got to agree...block off the bog. Turd munching rats as we know carry all the Mr. Meaner under the sun. If this is not achievable, I'd lather the whole pan with bromadioline or difenicoum Gel. That will ballax em ;-)
  17. if there's plenty of bird seed about as stated, grained poisons will be ineffective. Use a liquid rodentecide in a secure box. Or tell them to simply stop wanging bird seed all over the place.
  18. all depends on what you want it for. Not ideal lamping dog, although I have witnessed full boarder collies on the lamp catching scutts with ease over the years. A trial is offered, you couldnt ask for more really
  19. why not take a bucket of sand around with you in the 4x4...where you suspect he may be coming in, lay a layer of sand...... almost like using tracking dust, but on a larger scale. I have used this method to some success, As we know, they are creatures of habbit, and generally use the same runs.
