Cheers lads, I have now found a dog, she needs bringing on a bit but very keen. Plenty of lamping will sort that out! -

Hi, I had thought about getting a pup but no kennels anymore and don't want to go through the 'chewed furniture' phase again! Also I think a slightly older dog would be less hassle with my old labrador. I guess all I'm after is a semi decent dog that's ok in the house, I don't mind giving the time to bring on a dog with a few minor vices.....hopefully find something soon! Steve -
A few pinkfeet about, skeins are still pretty small and erratic at the moment, not worth sitting down the coast in wait just yet. Few more weeks I think. (That's from annan upto newbie area of solway anyway)

Like I said, I know its a tall ask, if I had kennels I would buy a pup, but since moving I haven't got kennels, hence the requirement for an older dog that's not gonna chew my house to bits and annoy my old labrador. I appreciate the fact its not the best time of year to be on the lookout for a decent dog, but again, I am willing to travel and the dog would be going to a good home.

I know its a bit of a tall ask, especially this time of year now the dark nights are here for lamping. But as they say, if you don't ask, you don't get! I'm willing to travel to a certain degree for the right dog

Hi, as title suggests, I'm on the lookout for a lurcher, I'm based in south west scotland and am looking for a decent dog, for use mainly on the lamp, but the odd bit of day work too. Rabbits only, so looking for a soft mouthed bitch that doesn't bother cattle/sheep. Dog would be going to a good home, needs to be clean in the house and needs to get on with other dogs, my layabout gundog is a lab. Anyone have or know of any dogs going? Steve

Hi everyone, I'm based in south west Scotland and am currently on the lookout for a decent lurcher, I packed in the lamping with dogs when I left wales a few years back and stuck with the shooting, but now I am settled and seem to be struggling to find a decent dog. Will only really be using the dog on rabbits, bit of ferreting/day work, but mainly lamping, so must be solid on the lamp and soft in the mouth! Oh and the biggest vice would be the fact that I am looking for one that lives inside rather than kennel and must get on with other dogs (my gundog is a lab who also lives in the house).
