Condition 4 Fox Can I Shoot Deer
Bunny Boiler replied to Cushty mush's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
The law says nothing about DSC1 being required to shoot deer species. FEO's like it as proof of safety and understanding. Read up on it. Google is your friend. Know your rights and you start to realise how and what you need to do. We will soon be hearing next we need to have a PSC1 as a condition on our SGC to shoot pigeons and demonstrate our skills in plucking and gutting a pigeon. What we need is an Assocation to join who puts the shooter first and stop all this money making out of shooters. and that Assocation is NOT BASCMy reasoning for BASC is solely down to the insurance they can off -

Do you have any convictions? If no, no problem. If the case is closed, no conviction, then no. If they refused every tom, dick and harry for being accused of something, half of us wouldn't have licenses.

Can we invite that bell piece that ranted about how everyone on THL hated him? Kept trying to get people to join his trapping page on facebook. Dont really remember his name to be honest...

Nope. Just secure ones. It will depend on the rails. Should be fine.

I have two sets of hunting gear. One lot is dpm camo - perks are the naterials dont make much noise, loads of pockets, cheap and I don't care if I rip, stain or ruin them. Not that warm when shooting at night for me. Summer is fine. The second lot are Black cargo police trousers. Lots of zips and I wear wax chaps over them to keep the wet out when shooting. I wear an old black waterproof coat with zip pockets. Perks are that its warmer, dryer, not so obvious and blends in well at night when lamping.

Treat them as normal. Handle the kits once the mothers aren't sitting on them so much. I would split the jills up too. When cleaing out, dont do the nest boxes. Feed as normal. Meat and water. Avoid liver as it is high in vitamin A and causes deformities in growth.

Thats to cover the costs of the first one that I will test. Once I've done the first one, i'll price it up (time, materials etc) and put some prices up.

.17Hmr Ammo For Fox
Bunny Boiler replied to shropshire dan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/vermin ver·min (vûr′mĭn) n. pl. vermin 1. Various small animals or insects, such as rats or cockroaches, that are destructive, annoying, or injurious to health. 2. Animals that prey on game, such as foxes or weasels. This Fox/Vermin debate has raged for as long as I can remember and has only been complicated/confused by many Firearms Depts. Originally ALL my rimfires contained the word fox as well as vermin, and some years back when my FAC came back from a variation much of that was gone and replaced by AOLQ, so that's easy now! I have a mutual agreement with my butchers. I sell him some of my shot rabbits and the ones that are a bit more of a mess (shoulder shot) get minced by him for free. Im sure if you offered a beer token or two to your butchers, he would let you use his when it's quiet. -

Let me know how you get on! If they're still a bit bland, add a touch more paprika and chili powder. You dont have to waste a whole batch either. Take a small ball before you make your burgers and cook it. Try it before you make a whole load. -
Yes. It's all nylon made and can even go through the washing machine if muddy or bloody.

So, I have always been a budding little chef, cooking to survive while my dearest mother worked lates/nights at the hospital, with a passion for cooking game, especially freshly ferreted rabbit, shot pheasant and hooked fish. We, as hunters, spend so much time killing, but I'm not sure how many properly use their catch to the fullest. After all, meat is expensive, and you're getting it for free... And it's healthy. I have been told I should sack off the 9-5 and open a restuarant dedicated to wild foods (mushrooms, local cheeses, fresh game, etc.), but while I would love to do that, theres

.17Hmr Ammo For Fox

I would speak to your FEO in that situation. In my mind I would take that as .22 is not granted for fox, but under the law, you have Vermin, and that does allow it. As said, there is no legal calibre for foxes, only recommended. It's very vague, but its the humane part they push. -
.17Hmr Ammo For Fox
Bunny Boiler replied to shropshire dan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
A 1000 rounds?! I put that through mine just paper punching and rabbit shooting in about 2 months! I spoke to my FEO only 10 mins ago to clear up the whole debate about "foxes being vermin and can you shoot it with a. 22rf" and asked about putting in for cf calibres. Now, I know every force is different, but for mine, he said to show experience of shooting with a cf with someone previous, and show proof of land (plus proof of permo for deer if applying for those) and put in for a variation and you would get it regardless of length of time holding the cert or rounds that are put through it. Adequate permo is only the start. You need adequate experience and understanding. Its all about proving yourself... -
I may try one. I'll use my loops and see if I can do something. Thinking I would need to pad it inside as the the paracord weave would be thin. Will try a small sling and get some pics up when I can. Right. I think I could do a sling, but it'll come in quite costly. It uses around the -100 ft mark of paracord (depending on sling size), and I would also have to either be provided with, or buy sling loops. The idea being that it is woven instead of braided, makes the sling wider for your shoulder so it doesn't dig in. I am happy to give it ago if someone wants one, for me to try for say 15 qu

I am now selling a few paracord items in a variety of colours. Before people say, B.P.R and I have spoken, and he is fine with it. I am currently (pictures to follow) selling Paracord Survival bracelets, Game Carriers, Dog Collars (small dogs only), Lanyards, Key rings (comes with the ring) and will attempt anything plausible. Few ideas I might try if people show an interest are Dog Leads and Rifle Slings. Current colours are Orange, Navy Blue and Yellow, but can get any colour at notice. Key rings: Game Carriers: £6 each or 2 for £10. Postage second class £1 or fi

Density kills so, I would assume the 20g round would be better, but a well placed .17, or even .22 (in theory!) would work.
