  11. Last Sunday Chris and I, Along with Neo and Ted set off at silly oclock in the morning to the Dales for a days ferreting. Chris feeling a little worse for ware after the night before xmas do was soon feeling better after a huge scotch egg and sausage roll. We got to the dales as it was just breaking light. It was my first time ever ferreting up there and it was good to have the hand of the gamekeeper for the day, especially travelling by quad, which neo didn’t really like. We got up the side of what left like a mountain and set out all the nets I had on this first warren, a

  13. I have just rebuilt one of those standard kennels. The one like a garden shed 4x4ft of bed area and 8x4 ft of run. I am just thinking about building a bed box. This will be used for a terrier or lurcher or a bit of both? How big should this box be? Is was thinking of a 600x600mm box suitable fora terrier with a platform on top of it suitable for a lurcher. Any thoughts
  14. No one with a male jrt??? Any other takers with any oyther terriers at all?
  15. Thanks so far. Would the pups come out the bitch a bit larger with the father been a bit larger? And would or could this cause a problem coming throught the cervic and birth canal etc or could the slightly longer legs be a problem? I think that's what is was trying to ask but came out wrong lol. Or are all pups regarless of mother and father about the same size, Tam... That was something I though.
  16. Just a thought, I understand there can be problems with any pregnancy and births of dogs but can this be heightened with using a larger dog covering a smaller dog. For example I have seen litters of jrts x with parson jrts not sure which way around they are but potentially the parsons could be the male at 15 inch tts and the bitch could be the jrt at 10 inches tts. IF this was the case could this be a hightened problem or would the pups come out ok as a regular size of a jrt pup or would the longer legs restrict the birth?? Has any one got any experiance or thoughts of this at all??
  17. Thorney ours loves crabs too... Keep offering her to my mate... Ha ha Joking aside. Yeah finds them then there in bits, just hope she doesn't do it if she finds the big red ones as I would like them.
  18. I am looking for a jrt to cover my bitch next april may time. Out jack russell works over rat and rabbit and I am looking for a pup of her and so it a mate and my old post man. I know people will say do a search, which I have and only one person responding so thank you, you know who you are. I am preferably looking in the yorkshire area. Any body want to admit to having a intact jrt dog at all? Thanks for reading.

  22. I have been offered. For sale like a lakey x beddy bitch two year old and a patt x bull 15 month old dog. Now I had a friend who had numerous lakeys and they never liked me and always put me off them. Now has any one had any experiance in working these types of dogs at all. Never had a patterdale before, a mate has one that looks like a black sheep, but any good around kids. Any advice or words of wisdom?
