  1. Hi guys. My fathering laws game keeper has ballsed it up this year, 2 birds cam eout of the wood, as he's not been feeding up. I know a lot of other people have got their eyes on this wood and I would like to keep it in the family so going to offer to feed up etc for him. Is there anything else I should be aware off at all and any tricks with feeders at all?
  2. Just about to make a saw into a smoker, do you guys weld the tube on the exhaust or take the exhaust off and weld it on to the entry of the exhaust?
  3. What chokes do the barrell have?
  4. I am wanting some clothing for my son to take him out ferreting etc as he is wanting camo stuff, just like daddy ha ha. I have him once every two week so he would only be in clothes a hand full of time so would not be worth it buying new stuff. He is 6 soon, but preferably would like free stuff but I know this may not be possible, but if any one else does have any I will pass them on the same way once he has grown out off them. Any one??
  5. If that works for you fella then stick at it, abit of smoke shows you things you might otherwise miss, like you say, were the tunnels run near the surface, atb, buster. No didn't work, but it was interesting. Digging always seems to work for us best, smoking doesn't seem to work all the time only now and then.
  6. that's interesting what you've both put. We was smokeing one a few months ago and you could actually see where the tunnels went with the smoke coming up through the soil. Then back to good old faithful digging
  7. Is it possible for a bitch to be fertilised by two dogs? Just curiosity really.
  8. Ok lads what's your thoughts on fox nets with one peg or two like a poke net? And then the size or type of peg(material)?
  9. My chain saw spews out smoke, justa drop of oil and its a localised fog, but I believe its the make of saw!! Either mixure on our last couple of tips didn't bolt the little scaleys.
  10. There was a mark 2 on fleebay. Not sure on the mark 1 and 2 differences.
  11. Well spoke to her on weekend and the last 4 tesco burgers.... Sorry horses she got were for free so why not a dog for free... Not my words btw. Also a tight yorkshire folk like us. If I didn't get ripped off by council tax I would have had her too.
  12. Or I could say would you buy a dog/pup who had not been tested for a genetic fault despite of workability? Just playing devils advocate ( if that's how I spell it ha ha )
  13. I will be. It nothing I ever though of until recently. Do you?
  14. It will be interesting how you get one. It mentions then in the rabbiting terriers book. You may be the first on to the next fasional terrier for rabbiting, (no dig intended but fasions go around) my ex fatering law had one a nice dog but not a working terrier. I know of a wastie with a good prey drive form KC back ground, so why not a cain..
  15. Good thread, never thought about anything like this before! Is it the obvious on how the sperm is put in the straw then?? Use to work with a woman who did it for her horse.. Wouldn't of minded if she did that for me ha ha.
  16. The majority of people breed for workability but do may people test their studs and/or bitches for genetic faults like Luxation lens disorder or others which cannot be physically seen for a number of years?
  17. Hi clare nice looking bitch. I know a lady wanting a rat dog for her horsey place not to far from us (both) where I ferret, ill see if she's willing to pay, as she was wanting a free one, but you don't get out for nowt now.
  18. Nice looking dog there, in kent, would he travel and what fee is he looking at? How tall is he and what does he work?
  19. Were low to and there is nack all, even the rats and gone to higher ground. I was speaking to some one yesterday and they have hung their nets up as no point going out with them.
  20. Mate of moine baught one, and he was trying to figure out what the oil was and he said there was a methol smell to it so guessing that will put you off the trail. We've struggled to get rats to bolt with it, but yet again we have with the chainsaw recently.
  21. Just the dog durham digger. I like to think she is trained enough to come bacl to recall.. I may be wrong though ha.. Just her nose is gen spot on rats and rabbits. She's never come accross mr C yet.
  22. Thanks every one, may be worth my while as little dog went down the other night, just a quick walk as you do don't take any thing with you and the other half rings little ones started to be sick, come off phone, can see two but not little one. Tie other terrier up so I can hear and listen down each hole. The one I fine is a three holer, so used camera phone to take picture down hole so arms lenght down hole I get a gglims of her arse. No spade, getting dark, mates house nr by he's at pub so it was using a stick and hands, luckily sandy groud and I got 3ft down and shed gone further down. Now
