if you cant put your 3 bullets inside a penny at 100mtrs i would start again, change powder, bullets primers, start with the cheapest first.. -
I Won't Be Cleaning The 17Hmr Barrel Again
rob reynolds uk replied to RIP.JD's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I have the same with my HMR ,clean it and it will not group, takes 17 shots down the barrel to get it back on again,so i dont clean the barrel that much.. -
butches bore shine is the worst stuff i have ever used, try it your self ,put some on a penny and watch ,then watch some more ! nothing happens ..kg12 will react with in seconds cleaning the penny and leaving it looking like new , put a little bit of oil on your patch and put it down your barrel ,then patch it out till dry.

I shot the .223 for years, but after shooting the .204 i had to have one,so i got one and i still love the way it drops foxs and i get to see the strike everytime,it dont use much powder and the bullets are cheap i use blitzking39gr which is the bullet to use if your going past 200mtrs - at 350mtrs the 39grn bullet gets there faster and hits harder than the 32grn bullet 26.5 grn of reloader 10x. br cci primers.. o.give of 1.938

Ring them up every week about it, that way they will get sick of you and move things along..

YOU CAN NOT BLAME THE RIFLE FOR A BADLY PLACED SHOT ...you would need to use 64 gr Match Grade Buger bullet in your .223 to get the same BC as one of my .204 Blitzking 39grn bullets ..the 204 is a vg foxing round out to 500yrds past that buy another rifle or get a 204 with a 1-8 twist so you can shoot a 55 grn bullet with a BC 0.381 now thats high .you would need to shoot a 6mm using 88 gr Match Grade High BC FB Varmint to get a close with a BC 0.391 Buger Bullets ..

Shot the .223 for many years .then shot the .204 ..i now have the .204 blows the .223 and the 22-250 away out to 600 yrds ...204 is better in the wind and is flater flying and on paper it states its better ,iv never had any runners no matter how big your foxs are....i have a hmr17 .204 and 25-06 and space on my ticket for a 22-250 that i was thinking about building for long range shooting.but not standed ammo 90grn bullets 1-8 twist etc

I have a 204 and i put 39grn blitzkings down it and i have hit 10" steel targets at 716 yrds with it..droped foxs with it at 384 mtrs dead on the spot ..i like it because you get to see the kill down the scope and its fast and cheap to build your own ammo ...rabbits shot with the 204 .

Sure Fire Way To Bag Plenty Of Crows?
rob reynolds uk replied to andrew macmillan's topic in Pigeon Shooting & Decoying
You need a good camo net the type like this and not the british army ones, crows dont like them and can see one a mile away. get your self under a tree or over hanging cover, get the sun in your back and find the flight lines into the field the day before if pos.set your decoys out at a range of 25 yrds and then each one of your decoys at least 7ft apart and make them look alive like you see in the fields and put two together like you see a mother feeding her young and maybe a magpie or two on the fence post to the left or right of the patten. crows can see color unlike pigeons. crow sounds is -

Reloading Gear Complete?
rob reynolds uk replied to bbjaccov5's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
You may want to get theses later on, the neck turning one is very good to have the other you really dont need unless your really going for the very best in re-loading ..i have one but don`t use it very often.. -
Reloading Gear Complete?
rob reynolds uk replied to bbjaccov5's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
yes ...bullets ..primers...shells lol you could buy a few more items but it looks like you have most of the stuff ...now find a load that suits your rifle it may take some time but it will pay off in the long run ...make each round the same take your time in re-loading ..the results will show in your grouping later..
