I tested it before going out as I always do. Flicked it on at the neighbours tree and lit it up nicely.... I swear I remember charging it too.

Har Har, could of done with some light a bit earlier than now And the lamp was on charge before anything else! Better be me going crazy and not the battery... Even though a battery can be replaced and my mind can't... it's before Christmas so every penny counts I bet my face was a picture when I flicked that beam on. I guess all you can do is laugh.

It's been a while since I had my dog out. First the wet weather and then the frost, its made it very difficult to get the dog out working. I'm sure many can relate. Anyway the rain seems to of backed off a bit and it was a scortcher at 5 degrees. So I thought I would head down my permission and hopefully get some early runs before it got colder and ground froze. Got everything ready and off I went. I pulled up to the gate where I park up and start off and saw about 8 rabbits bolting across the lane. It looked promissing. Got the wellies on and dog on slip and headed in the first field.

You don't think a boat could of drove by and dumped the pre made perspex rig in the correct place a day before. Or even an hour. If it's clear perspex and under(dirty) water then no one would be any the wiser.

Yep. It's all very good camera angles. If you have skyplus or if it's on youtube slow it down or watch careful and you will see he actually crawls out of the door near the security guard...Just at the right moment the coat of the security guard touches the other and closes the gap for a split second. Leaving him enough time to crawl past undetected.. The crowd that look amazed outside are all actors.

I know, I know. Makes it even worst.

I know this has probably been brought up a thousand times.... But this is still new for me as I have only recently moved to this country after living in 2 that allow coursing. Coursing dates back thousands of years. But we can't do it because some rich people in the city say we can't. Just a little snippet of information on the history of greyhounds/ lurchers and coursing. I found it an interesting read. EDIT: I totally f****d that up. Here's the link. http://www.greysave.org/history.php

Ah I beg my pardon. I must of been looking at Holyhead to Dublin because I can't seem to find the Liverpool crossings now. Well shit, I guess I better stick an extra hour on top of my journey now if I have to go Holyhead. My mistake.

I used to be really into magic when I was younger... Or should I say illusion. I was good at slight of hand and card tricks. I used to do it in school a lot. I did get a lot of my inspiration from magic shows. I could watch a trick done once and know how they did it instantly. I should of kept it up... That could be me walking on water.

from liverpool to dublin its an 8hr ferry trip at least Not on the swift 3.5hrs.

He's walking on perspex which is around an inch under the water. It's either cleverly positioned using floats and ankers.... Or he's Jesus.

it was a limited edition Lol I thought so. Fair enough

Is it really worth the price tag? I know it's pretty much one of a kind and I have heard it's a good read/ look. But it seems to be priced very high for what is effectively a picture book. ( Please excuse my ignorance before someone bites my head off ) Also, apart from the fact it's out of stock... Is there a reason why this site is selling them considerably cheaper than the majority of others? http://www.darcybooks.com/index.php?_a=product&product_id=9

Bedlington Whippet?

Ahhh! I may be rescheduling for January myself. I had a puncture and it seems that my alloy is cracked as well! So might not be ready before the weekend. Maybe the 11th of January instead now. Ferry is 100 quid cheaper and it gives time to get Christmas out the way. Only trouble is the weather is so unpredictable... Don't really want to book it now and it's snowing all weekend. We need a tunnel under the Irish sea like euro tunnel!

Yeah I can't either mate. It's my friend over there who is loaning me the cash as it is... I'm debating it now though. It's a 4 hour journey to Liverpool from me.... Then it's a 3.5 hours ferry.( wouldn't leave the dog in car over night) then it's 2 hours from Dublin to Wexford... The excitement has suddenly turned into 'oh shit, this is going to be a 20 hour driving round trip'

The price of this ferry is killing me. Anyone fancy going half on it in return of 2 days coursing??? Would need to find own accommodation in the area though..
-
Really?! It's a small world Enniscorthy was literally 10 mins away from where I used to live. It is well known for travellers and Hare coursing. I'm not surprised you got pestered. They are good lads though. I used to hunt with a lot of them and they are very passionate about their coursing and lamping. There used to be a dog in Bunclody called Ben who was a Saluki Greyhound and he had a new bitch in with him every day. I think he ended up getting stolen. He was a real good dog though. But yeah, you walk down the street in Wexford with a Lurcher and you will get people coming up to you a

I'm sure there are. I will speak to my mate in the morning. If not.... i'm sure I could give you the numbers of a few honest men that would be happy to take you out.
-
Will be going to Wexford mate in the south. Taking Holyhead to Dublin more than likely. Will be good to see some of the lads again. Not been back to Ireland in nearly 8 years now!
-
Nice one. Thank you for making my night But I know the ferries are looking about £300 return at the moment! Will be worth it to see if my Bitch makes the grade though. I'm going to be popping back and forth during the seasons in the future... Shame it costs a small fortune though!

It looks like I could be taking a random trip to Ireland this weekend to visit a friend and get some good hunting in. I would be taking my 3/4 Saluki bitch with me to see if she's got what it takes. Only trouble is... She has no Passport or microchip yet. She's all fully up to date with her jabs. A google search tells me this isn't a problem. But I just want to confirm this with anyone that has done it? I don't want to get to the boat and get turned away. Will she be ok to travel in the back of the motor ( Large Estate) Also, does anyone have recommendations of what ferry to take... th
