Cheers for the PM warning Dawn ! Not being a terrier man admittedly I thought i would buy a Border terrier to mabye start off Ratting etc. Should have known better to post something on this section as all the so called experts will probably shoot me down instead of help me !!

My Border pup showing some promising signs last month as we were checking dens, This den was checked and was empty, Before we put the pup near it.

That ground is down the river by the beach when i was out with the dogs, Not where i shot the doe. Also the 1st April is a Sunday so i cant shoot it then ??? The buck looks perfectly healthy at the moment and there is no hanging limbs thats why i thought it was either born like that or it had been under the knife by the vet. It looks about 3/4 years old with a well established head and is just starting to cast its velvet ??

There may be a little hope for us all as my mate went in to the post office today and got his road tax early for his L200 for 1st April and cause his Registration docs dont say 4x4 he only paid £175 for his year. Not bad eh.!!

Cheers guys all part of the " deer management " !! The Buck with the 3 legs i mentioned, I will watch and may take out nearer the rut to see if it was born like that or see wheather it has been re-released, perhaps it may have been hit by a car or something and may have a pin or stitches. ( By Some do gooder) Anyone else shot/caught any like this ??

Saw this young Doe (Last years calf) while out with the lamp last night, She was limping quite badly so went out first light this morning and dispatched of her and on closer inspection once i had shot her she had a broken leg. Also saw a buck with 3 legs today

Martin, 25.06 is a great calibre as V-Max and his brother will tell you. But IMO I started with a 22.250 then jumped to a .308 and now have a .243 which i prefer as an all-rounder great calibre as the other guys said aswel. Good luck and happy hunting

No LY its actually a Moggy with a big bell round its neck. Hoping it was a ferrel but as it came closer we could hear the ding ding of the collar. Hence the Title !!

I have all three of my dogs done. IMO:- i think its a great idea as a mate of mine got a spaniel stolen as the thiefs cut the wire in his run and nicked the dog. . The guy and the police went down to the thiefs house (CARAVAN) and asked for his dog back, the police said they had no way of proving it so the guy ended up keeping the dog Police said that if he had it chipped he could have got it back. The caravan gang then f***ed off later that week never to be seen again.
