  5. I asked this question some time ago to the head of Wilts fire arms and my at the time current FEO and the answer was a definite no! The Wilts force see it as the only acceptable way to use a firearm that isn't legally yours to fire on land you don't have permission is under the direct supervision of the land owner with his rifle or his servant(estate condidtion). Not even family are above that law regardless of what position they hold over the land. ( My permission asked me on a few occasions to take his son with me which is why I asked the question.) OR as part of a registered club I.

  14. I would definitely get BASC membership first and I have found that if you knock on a few doors, come across safe and reliable and holding the right paper work they are normally happy to give you a try. It's been fairly new to me getting permission as when I just used a sub 12lb air rifle I could usually go out with others but once I got into bigger toys there seemed to be less room so I had to get my own place of which I have the roam of a good 2000 achres now. persistance will also be good
  15. Hi all, I have been dealing with these guys for a bit now and would just like to say to anyone that is in the Wilts area that wants to deal with guys that have a genuine approach to what they do and don't force anything on you give them a try. They haven't once tried to sell me anything and only suggested on things I could buy if I enquired about it. Extremely knowledgable and they have a lot of kit there so you can(as I have been) just drop in and get what you need. Just thought I would recommend these guys to anyone else not happy with the service they have had or looking to try som
  16. After spending a few hours walking around the tackle and gun show today I decided I couldn't take anymore and called the firearms dept again for clarification on the matter and this was what I was told, Provided its a load bearing wall and not at the bottom of the garden or and the end of the street, or visiable from the door leading to the street it will pass... this was only the opinion of the person at the other end of the phone and my not be the same view the FEO takes but I do feel happier now about its location once they have been out and give the nod I will let you all know
  17. Yea the garage wall is the same wall that I would have fitted it too in under the stairs, just the other side I rang my local which is also the HQ for firearms in this area so should be fine, worst case senerio i'll have to move it which isn't the end of the world just very irritating! But either way I will let you all know the outcome and maybe take some photo's if its legal to do so? might be of help to others in this situation.
  18. Hi all, I'm still new here so apologises if it's a newbie sounding post but it has taken me a whole day to fit my cabinet haha! The trouble began when I got permission to fir the unit but as I dont own the house I had to put it where ever the owners deemed suitable(for when I left re-sale would be easier) so after a lot of messing around the cupboard under the stairs and office walls were thrown out and I had to fit it in the garage.... Not too much of an issue I though as its well built and no damp etc. So after purchasing a lovely 7 slot buffalo and some 4" wind in screws I clear
  19. Your little friend looks ready and willing to lick you to death haha! Looks like a good ride around, A few of those bunnies might have been a bit heavy for retrieval though.. hah!

  21. Hi guys, I'm after a few bits to finish off my equipment check list. Firstly a Rifle cabinet suitable for up 3 rifles. A 15L bottle with test and guage or stirrup pump, I have the fittings but gave away my tank a while ago when I stopped using my PCP but I just can not keep away from my R-10. And If anybody has a good lamp going cheap I am also in the market for that too. Many thanks Chris
