well lads what would ye want from your dogs would it matter how far the hare and dog travelled or would ye want the hunt up close? i myself would want up close as im not a fan of running to see a hunt lol, all opinions welcome

i think its horses for courses, but you will get the odd 1 that do it anywhere but there are not 2 many of them, i think whizz banger or plodder if your happy with them then thats all that matters, hunting is a sport and if the dog your running is showing you sport than thats what counts

spot on pat, i dont mind if they take 4 or so mins to kill a real top class hare the odd time but if they wer takeing that long normaly to kill they would have new owners, but to be fair most runs in ireland dont last a long time because of the land

the perception that most lads in ireland has is that a dog that cant run for 4 or 5 mins is no good, i think if you have a good tight fast action dog thats a good killer 9 times out 10 the hare wont last past 2 mins, the 2 bitches that i have now will run 4 mins no prob but in saying that i had an old white bitch that was of unknown breeding that could only run 2 mins so she be a whizz banger lol but she kill 90 percent of hares she would run so id love a whizz banger like her again lol

no banter i gave her to my brother when she was 10 months old he had my head done in asking me about her so i gave her to him which was a big mistake because he is a terrible dog man lol, and he ran the brains out of her then she tore ligiments in her front leg so she was runied before she got started, j.s from dunmore has her full brother lovely animal

he was a nice stamp of a dog captain, i think there was a black and tan bitch in that litter that was fairly good not sure who had her il try to find out.

mike has produced a few very decent dogs g.w had a very decent dog out of him that got ran over m.p in eng has a match bitch out of him r.l in ballina has a very decent dog out of him j.s from dunmore has 3 very decent animals out of him i myself have a good decent first x out of him, and there is prob a lot more that i dont of, so thats not bad for any stud dog there no dog going to produce all good 1s

no prob banter if you got your hands on a long distance track greyhound with a bit of size 26 inchs or so that max dog be perfect for her pal, yes captain that dog is out of grizz hes a decent animal

yes brendy she was from a track bitch long distance bitch, i bred a litter out of mike to a coursing greyhound and they came 2 heavy set, thanks temple pal
