  5. went out on Friday night with the lamp and my new BSA on some local permission my friend has, it turned out to be a bad night for getting close to rabbits with the sky being really light and hardly no wind at all, but still managed to bag two with the airgun and 8 with the HMR, the first with the airgun was taking at about 27yards sitting just outside a set lovely head shot, and the second was squatting at about 18yards about 12ft off the hedge back managed to get one straight in the back of its head. i was happy with the tactical i must say haven't had the chance to shoot with it as much as i
  6. Whats with the whistling? didn't you get enough feedback? I thought most of it was for all guns except the BSA, that's feedback isn't it? To be honest, for one reason and another I'm not the greatest fan of Ed Grylls and I cant for the life of me think why someone would want to register on any forum using the guys name and picture, so your must be a bit puddled or you are indeed Ed Grylls, I think its the former. I do look forward to seeing pics from your lamping though, but would wish you could just be an individual instead of a Bear Grylls wannabe. Right thats my pishy little rant
  7. i didn't ignore it andy i just choose the gun witch felt right for me i appreciate any advice given to me and thank the lads for there time. and as for mark he was well out of order for saying what he said! i really really can't understand people on these forums like that, going off on one because my profile name is beargrylls and he doesn't like him, doesn't give him the right to go on like that. less than ten posts and already getting stick off people
  8. glad to hear it mate i had my first kill with the XL last night, it was a bad night for getting close to rabbits but ended up the night with two from the BSA, tbh the airgun spent most of the night on my back as i was holding lamp for my friend with his HMR

  13. yeh i really like BSAs hence owning an ultra and wanting a XL tactical its just a shame theyve..well...dropped there standards as far as there new build quality goes, dont get me wrong there still a great gun but imo there out done on todays market as far as quality for money goes

  15. thanks for all the replys ppl much appriciated im shooting a BSA ultra atm wich im finding a bit light to keep still on shots after 30+ yrds ive ruled out a couple of guns as a no go for sure, its down to the theoben evo or the HW90K (in theory) but i guess its just a case of going down the gun shop and having a good look around hold a few guns etc ( my heart is still saying BSA XL tactical though)
  16. ive looked into the lightning also XL tactical but was a bit put off by the fact that they are mass produced and heard there a bit of hit and miss as far as build quality goes, thanks secretagentmole ill check them out
