XTX cut the shroud flush with the the actual barrel also fitted with a SAK mod on the end witch makes it around 2inch longer than the buddy bottle, very pointable when using out of both windows i agree the standard barrel was a pain hence the change not sure thb porkycrook

it makes sense like robwelsh i just fancied a change ended up buying a HW100T, still love my R-10 thought especially when using it out of the car silentshot1 i assure you will not be disapointed when you get your gun back!

how many of you would consider a huntsman an upgrade from an R10?
-
thanks for the replies lads excellent shot phantom! there's still plenty there but Ive certainly put a hole in there numbers (or they just know that with the smell of peanut butter also comes a little led gift from the R10! ) anyway Ive had a live trap down for over 3weeks and the only thing Ive caught is a rather sad looking grey squirrel! i'm sure they will be back in force soon enough though.....and the nite site 50 & r10 will be waiting

Just got in from attempting to knock a few rats over in the mothers garden! After 1 sucessful night and two failed nights (last one nothing showed and tonight I rUshed the shot and missed one) the rats are being really skitish Could this be that they know what I'm doing or simply because the conditions were really windy the first time and no wind at all the last two times? Don't' really shoot rats I've heard there timid but coUld I have spoiled my fun with the gun by spooking them and have to get the fenn traps out Thanks for any info Sent from my phone

beargrylls replied to ants1992's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
well put tony i own the ultra single shot in .22 its a lovely little gun, the only thing i find is its a little on the light side @ 5.7lb i personally struggle to hold it steady on/over anything beyond 30-35yrds when i'm shooting free hand, your best bet is to go and hold one and see how it feels to your shoulder etc good luck -
airgun restoration ? webley hawke mkIII
beargrylls replied to beargrylls's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Bear. Great momento of Grandad mate. If you have taken it back to bright steel, it may pay you to use a Mordant solution to acid etch the steel before priming. Make sure you degrease well, very well. Bill thanks bill ill bear that in mind -
hi guys, ive recently inherited my grandfarthers old airgun, witch was very much to my suprise as i dint even know he owend one its a vey poorly looking webley hawke mkIII its been in a garage loft space unbaged for a number of years, the barrel right back to the scope grooves was coverd in rust, ive sprayed it with WD40 and left it over night in the hope it would remove the rust but had no joy so i carfully sanded it back to the metal with wet and dry sand paper but now i dont know the best way to go around painting it? its only ever going to be used as a garden plinker so getting it re blu

:clapper: Nice one Bear . Must say I rate the bear Grylls trousers highly! cracking pair of lightweight strides for everyday use... Jasp thanks jasper, yeh there a great peace of kit, ive worn graghoppers for years they really are exellent value for money(even better when you can pick there trousers up for £17 in TK MAX )

thanks lads, didnt end up using the peregrin decoy in the end, got some magpie FUD and put them up around a dead crow, ended the day with 8 corvids and 0 magpies. wasnt what we went for but all in all a good day so very clever birds then jasper or very scared sorry mate the only pair of beargrylls trouser i own ive had for over a year and there a little worn out i doubt you would be pleased if i sent you them you could always email the REAL beargrylls and ask him ATB

long story short i asked the OH to get me a owl or magpie decoy on her way home, she came home with a Peregrine Falcon Decoy reason for wanting a decoy is im going with a freind tommorw to try get rid of some magys on his perrmission, just wondering how they will react to the peregrine if i used it? will they clear off (not what i want) of will they attack it? it makes me wonder as when we have been to BOP shows ive seen crows mobbing even the large hawks. thanks in advance sorry its in the wrong section just thought i might get better advice here
