  6. we did about 5 smallish burys so each fert gets a bit of a run the jack russell (ted) is coming on great he is nearly 2 and started to mark the holes iv got high hopes for him and the good thing is when he gets to a rabbit in the net he just puts his foot on it and is more intrested in sniffing it's ar*e then biting it not like my old jack who is dead now he was a nightmare if he got to it before you you were lucky if you got the skin out the net let alone the rabbit but i do miss the little sod REST IN PEACE GEORGE did your dog kill the rabbits whilst in the net then retrieve them to yo
  7. what is the actual name of the spray you use?
  8. what you feeding them on? if your feeding pre-killed prey they could be getting them off that. seems strange that they are still getting them considering you clean the hutch out daily. as " The One" says, she will be coming in to moult soon, so nothing to worry about. she will be fluffy again in no time.
  9. youll have to cover vet bills then im affraid,be classed as a accident,if your dog was undercontrol then it would have been down to them vica versa,my dogs are fine with other dogs but i make a habit of slipping there lead back on if another person/dogs are approaching They've agreed to cover the vets bill and thats something, the dog should be muzzled, you wouldnt see an ex racing grey without one. If they know their dog is in anyway likely to cause harm it should be muzzled bit of light at the end of the tunnel then mate. keep us posted what the vet has to say.
  10. youll have to cover vet bills then im affraid,be classed as a accident,if your dog was undercontrol then it would have been down to them vica versa,my dogs are fine with other dogs but i make a habit of slipping there lead back on if another person/dogs are approaching I dont have any choice of putting him on a lead when passing other dogs because the same thing happened to me. not only that, my other dogs lead by example and they all started going for others when out walking
  11. bet it wasnt the first time that dogs laid in to another dog. they must of known its tempriment. your pups probs gonna be wary of other dogs now. same thing happened to my collie when he was 8 months he got laid in to by a rotty - didnt even see it coming! he's never been right with others dogs since. make sure you send them the vet bill mate & I hope your pup recovers.
  12. So you had enough proof to then?? This is in response to the commented made by asanley...why are people getting worried if antis or police are on here anyway? .....just watch what you say thats all I'm gonna say. If you have nothing to be worried about, i.e putting stuff on a forum for all eyes to see I don't see why everyone was getting so worked up over claims she may of been a copper or anti.
  13. I just wanted some info from someone on the forum. I did google it, but there was a lot of conflicting advice and hence got me confused. Cheers for the taking the time to reply. what do you boys go after with your dogs?
  14. what about if a ferret makes a kill under ground lol you better run if it dose then does it have to be a certain type of dog to bolt a fox/rabbit?
  15. what about if a ferret makes a kill under ground lol you better run if it dose then why run?? ..what is your quarry mate? you got working dogs ?
  16. I've just read that no dog whether it be lurcher/ terrier can not be used to kill the quarry - fox or rabbit underground or above. but i've seen some where else that dogs can still hunt rabbit above ground and kill them when caught...this true? also, if a ferret makes a kill under ground, would the whole process be illegal???
  17. I'm looking for someone round the Derbyshire, swadlincote area to go out ferreting with as at the moment I cant find anywhere permitting, if anyone can help send me a pm or reply to this post. andrew
