you defo need a open bit ,, i know its diff but my breeding pens are 16ft lond and 10 ft wide at each end they are coverd 10ft by 4 ft so they have 8ft open, and have a perch in the open bit,, the bird use it a lot , and in down pours they love it.. dont be to worrid about it open ,, as long as the bird an get out of the draft if there is one ,, you will find when in the molt the bird will spend a lot of time in the open bit,i use knowles netting goggle it ,, i have it in the spar pen hand the ak pen as bounce netting its good

WELL WE DID OUR COURSE TODAY, GOTTA SAY THE STAFF THERE WERE VERY GOOD AND TO TOP IT OFF THE GUY THAT WORKS THERE SAID HE LIVES IN RIPON AND I CAN GO OUT WITH HIM AND HIS MATE WHEN THEY TAKE THEIR HH's OUT, TOP DAY! good stuff did you learn much from it ???

very good posst,, if you are interestd , get your self on a course and get a mentor,, .. if you do go on the iff not all are willy heads,and some times you do get some good advice, a guy on here has a harris from me , may be have a chat with him on how he is getting on ,, , if you go for a harris keep it as you should do, and they get better year after year as folk will tell you ,, steve
