  1. thats one of the best examples of asil i have seen in a while. I know all breeds of game birds are a pain in the arse to keep at times but asils are a nightmare.I hatched some pakistani asil some years ago and i had to seperate them at three weeks, including the pullets, to stop them killing each other.

i would happily buy a box of cartridges to donate to dispose of evil human filth like this, and i dont think there will be a shortage of people willing to pull the trigger. There are no words strong enough to describe them
  4. just got back from my mates, the dog doesnt look that bad. He looks like hes shedding his coat, and the hot spots dont look too bad, really. My mate, quite sensibly, i think, has decided not to buy the vets food but instead is putting him on vitalin sensitive puppy food, which he was on when he first got him at eight weeks. He is going to keep him on this for six weeks to see if he improves, and then start adding different meats to see if it is an allergy. I still think the vet is a greedy robbing b*****d though.
  5. i will pop over and see him later today, but when i saw the dog last week he looked fine and his coat was nice and glossy for a young dog.The same vet wanted to charge him £408 to have his crypytochid staffy neutered when he found out he had pet insurance. The staffy is on the barf as well and he looks fantastic. he is the same age as the other dog. This allergy has not been confirmed with skin tests or the like, just the vets opinion.Personally i agree with skycat and perhaps if it didnt seem to improve i would cut beef out of his diet to see if that made a difference, as i read some where( terr
  6. just been talking to a mate who just got back from the vets after a check up on his ten month old dogue de bordeaux.he feeds him a barf diet but the vet told him that he was allergic to it because he has a couple of small hot spots.he has recomended a food he supplies that will cost about £200 a month. anyone else think hes taking the piss?
  7. i cant understand why your all trying to get your dogs fit when we are already a month into coursing season
  8. one of jeff burrells superdogs, Noah of the ark purportedly started this strain from two norfolk lurchers his grandfather gave him
  9. going back to the title of this topic, i think possibly lots of breeds went into their make up. in times gone by, if someone had a dog that was good at its job, it was put to another dog that was also good at the same job. eventually, especially if there was sight hound blood in the make up they would start to look "typey". its amazing what breeds, when crossed with sighthounds, throw pups that look like "norfolks".i once saw a dog that looked like a perfect example but when i asked the owner how it was bred i was told it was an accidental mating between a labradoodle and a smooth coated lurch
  10. i dont know if anyone else has read any of mr.burrells stories of how he "blended" different breeds of dogs into his lines but theres been so many different crosses that his original line must be so diluted as to be all but gone.he berates hancock as a puppy farmer but at least hancock is honest about the stock he sells.i have seen pictures of burrells so called norfolk lurchers and there appears to be a lot of variation in type.my brother had one some years ago which was a good dog,but no better or worse than lots of other lurcher x lurcher bred dogs i have seen.i think the norfolk name tag i
