Exactly Thats not the point here trying to keep a tidy methodical reliable dog is, if never seen a dog distro brush ive seen plenty of dogs duck and dive and jump stuff driving game from bramble patches and the like. Think your starting to miss the point about getting the dog to do as you need.. plenty of game sits in tight and as a dogs brain is a third devoted to its nose it can get distracted by other scents if a dog doesn't cover an entire length of hedge row something may be missed and for me being as efficient as possible is important as well as all this dog having fun and the l

that's not the way to go at all you really think forcing the dog to hear multiple shots that its already scared of is good advice.. To my mind that's like putting a child in front of a horror film on repeat and having the mentality of ohh they'll get used to it... Makes no sense to me

Gun nervousness can be cured but stop using the shotgun, start with a starting pistol or similar with the help of an assistant, using open ground start 300-400 yards away and let off a shot if any reaction at all treat and reassure once there is little or no reaction slowly decrease the distance.. then start again at distance with the shotgun and repeat the process, It is difficult to asses which it is but gun shyness in inherent
