This is really a posting following from my earlier post. Is anyone aware of any Beagle packs in Scotland? I can't see any in Bailey's, and am not aware of any.

Jasher, if you are in touch with anyone from the Hunt, I'd appreciate being put in contact with them. I have written to the email address in Baileys, but no resposne yet. In your post you mention them visiting the Borders. I didn't know there were any beagle packs in Scotland.

Many thanks. I have googled and found a contact. The kennels I remember were near to Ecclesfield Church, so clearly they moved.

If my memory is correct, the Boxing Day meet was at Wentworth. I certainly remember hunting there, especially in those big fields behind Wentworth church and towards Harley.

Over 50 years ago as a young man, I hunted with Ecclesfield Beagle Hunt, and have very many happy memories of days out in the Pennines. I left South Yorkshire around 1969, and have had no real contact with the area since. Does the hunt still exist? If it does, or if not, is there any archive of materials associated with it?

Does anyone know if Ecclesfield Beagle Hunt still exists? Some 50 years ago I used to hunt with them, and I have wonderful memories. It would be sad to think they have dissapeared.
